[RAID] Attack on Rocket

Jeeves glared at the Eevee. He really wished it would stop doing that; it hurt! He couldn't do much about it, though, as his orders were to Wrap the Rocket Trainee... And now said Rocket (4) was trying to escape because he'd flinched before.

"Moriko. Another Double Kick." Lin instructed, hopping down from her back, and advancing on the struggling rocket, intending to aim a punch at his head while he was still trying to escape.

((Because I keep forgetting to mention poor Repede))

Somewhere in the mayhem there was a large mound, which appeared to be oozing and melting away like a pile of sludge. When in actual fact it was a debris and sand covered lump of ice that was thawing.

What emerged from it was a very dirty and very grumpy looking Repede.

Vince jumped as he heard Andre speak when he approached. At first he had thought it might have been a rocket, but as the Purple haired man's features became clearer as he came closer, he breathed a sigh of relief. It was one of the people from his group, that same man whom had offered him a better view in the van, what was his name? Vince couldn't remember, if he ever knew it at all. He would've asked it then, if the sounds of battle being so close hadn't caused him to panic so much.

After hearing what the man said, Vince found it strange how calm and collected this man was despite being in something of a war zone. He couldn't have been too much older than himself after all. Slowly, He began to calm himself down, no doubt the presence of a familiar face helping immensely. If he could just stay close to this person, he'd stand a far better chance than he would have on his own, and he seemed like a very capable trainer. However, still too shook up to say anything, Vince could only manage a nod in response to the man's warning. Vince's eyes widened in awe as the Dark Charizard appeared from the ball. Although he had seen other charizard before and indeed, even this particular one before, he was surprised at how close it was. He never would've seen the tail coming and if it hadn't been for his new companion's quick actions he would've been hit.

Recovering from the events immediately prior Vince managed a quick, albeit shaky "Thank you" before continuing with a "I'll follow you" directed toward the Purple haried man.

While the Rocket (Rocket 5) was running just fine now, he might’ve escaped had he not been hit in the head with a Confusion attack from some Espeon (Velencia), which caused him to stumble a second time before being tackled to the ground by Yuri, and he landed with a heavy groan.

Had the Dodrio not been attacked so much before nor ganged up on now, it might’ve survived, but the almost simultaneous attacks from Link and Teazer made it squawk pitifully one more time before it collapsed into the sand.

When his target disappeared, the large Charizard rumbled uncertainly. Where had it gone? With an angry roar, the pokemon landed with a heavy thud before he started attacking the sand around him at random, trying to target Aquamarine with a Dragon Claw whether or not it would actually do anything – he just didn’t like not being able to see his prey.

The Aurora Beam struck its target, and the Pidgeot screeched angrily. Despite the super effectiveness of the attack, the bird had little trouble remaining airborne, and instead opened her beak wide to aim an indignant Hyper Beam at Fathom.

The Lampent wobbled very unsteadily after being struck by Fraener, but it was still up! Barely, but still. With a weak cry, the pokemon shot another Confuse Ray at the large Charizard.

Unfortunately for the Lucario, the pokemon was, in fact, male, and did, in fact, immediately become absolutely smitten by the shiny Lopunny. The powered-up Psychic hit him squarely in the back, but luckily it wasn’t super effective given his secondary type. Still, the move knocked him forward – towards Pop, conveniently – and he attempted to drape himself over the Lopunny with a dreamy sigh, his ears laid down and his tail wagging quite happily regardless of where or how he landed.

Claire had been spending her time trying to keep an eye on everything that she could, frequently looking around at all of the pokemon she could see within range, so when a disgusting wad of purple sludge hurled towards her (thank you Zla), she quickly dodged it with a face that appeared as if she’d just smelled something extremely awful. Eugh.

Oh, oops – he hadn’t meant for that to happen. Regardless, with the bird (Perdy) focused elsewhere, the Pikachu returned to Claire and hopped up to her shoulder to help her keep a look out until he needed to intervene elsewhere.

The Typhlosion, when his opponent (Grael) fainted, growled lightly, and quickly jerked his head around to look for anything else that tried to break past him and get to the van.

The Rocket scowled at Kiss Kiss and waved his arms in a frenzy, matching her volume with a screamed "LA LA LA LA LA," dedicating his every resource to drowning out the Raichu's voice and hoping he could hold out longer than her Song.

The Umbreon, startled at its unexpected circumstances, let out a Screech as it suffered the effects of the Thunderbolt, mistaking Perdy as the source of its pain.

The Leafeon cried out in the heat of the intense fire-type attack, wilting rapidly.

With a mighty cry - for a bird of its size - the Delibird chucked another Present after the Rapidash, holding its breath until it witnessed the delightful sight of the pretty little box exploding rather than healing. One could never be too sure with those things.

[Lin]
The Eevee whined loudly, releasing its deathgrip on the vine and accelerating away in a directionless Quick Attack. Its trainer called after it - until he saw the oncoming fist. Abandoning his concerns for the Eevee in favor of worrying about himself, he curled inward harshly, flinching as the blow connected harshly with his shoulder.

Able to tackle Rocket 5, Yuri swung his fist at that guy as well to keep him down. He then stood and looked around. There was... a lot going on, and he needed a moment to catch his breath. For as well as he could breathe in this damn sand storm.

With the Dodrio going down, Link was also able to rejoin him at his side.

Lifting his arm to block some of the blowing sand, Yuri tried to get a look at who was where, when his eyes fell on Claire.

"She looks pretty important," he told Link, who nodded in agreement. However, she did have a Pikachu with her.

"Think you can take the mouse?" he asked of Link, who merely looked at him before speeding towards Claire in an Extremespeed. Yuri following after the Arcanine, naturally at a much slower pace.

Larry had expended a vast majority of his energy with that last protect. Had he the strength he would've acknowledged the kind man's gratitude, but sadly he didn't. Still he knew that the area was dangerous and had to get this man out of harm's way. Since he seemed, more or less concious and able to move, Larry went over to him and tried nudging him in an attempt to tell him to get away from the area.

He looked around, still no sign of Vince. Larry decided he couldn't simply wait around for his hopeless trainer to come around and decided he would continue his mission searching for other lost souls in the ground. He began digging once more, although this time much slower due to his weakness. He could still sense others in the area somewhere through the rock and he was determined to find and help them as best as he could before he became completely exhausted.

Kiss frowned when again he didn't listen to her song,
alright fine- She gave him another Thunderbolt instead!

Perdy took the screech unwillingly, but he would gladly take that if it meant he didn't have to suffer the electric attack.
Still he had his target, and it was not the Umbreon. Perdy dove again for the Umbreon's Rocket to pluck it up.

Pop let out a light sigh when the Lucario indeed became infatuated with her, a psychic move hit him from behind knocking him toward her, sure he intended to drape over her, he looked pleasantly in love, but what he would be met with instead was a flurrying punch as she let loose a Dizzy Punch on the steel type.

The purple haired man studied the other with amusement, his head cocked ever so slightly. He certainly was an interesting fellow, he'd only noticed one pokemon with the man. A small Aron that didn't seem to have much, if any, training. "You're welcome...oh. I don't believe I've caught your name." He said with a small frown, as if the thought bothered him. "I'm Andre. I wish we could have met under better circumstances." He laughed lightly, absently attaching Fraener's pokeball to his thigh holster. He didn't seem to be in a hurry to get to his pokemon, though he did keep an out out for any Rockets that could be heading to the van.

Velencia shook her head, trying to dispel the dizziness from the Confuse Ray to no avail. She did, however, catch sight of Fraener flying above her. The dragon pokemon was taking aim at the Lampent again, this time throwing a Dragon Rage its way. Velencia, using Fraener's attack as reference, shot another Sand Attack at the Lampent as well.

His opponent felled, Sparky tossed the Leafeon aside, and looked around for another target, hoping the Rapidash that had taken his trainer knew his place.

Thierry's eyes narrowed, instinctual abilities kicking into high gear as he pressed onward with the girl on his back, dodging the second gift with his trainer's guidance. Once at the van, the Rapidash slowed and turned to face the others around them, keeping watch as his trainer released her arcanine once more, then proceded to unholster the gun strapped to her thigh and aim a shot at each of the tires on the vehicle. Aurora took up her post next to the rest of her team, also watching for signs of attack.

Lin frowned and attempted to strike again. He wanted to knock the Rocket out.
Jeeves, not given any further instruction, and see his human engage the Rocket personally, stopped actively wrapping, and watched Lin closely, debating whether to step in if Lin forgot the objective wasn't to try and kill people. The police had been not far before; he didn't want his trainer to get himself arrested...

Moriko watched the Eevee escaping... Lin didn't say go after it, and thus she hesitated, looking to Jeeves and then to Lin, who was trying to punch the other human. She snorted; they needed direction.

"Find a Rocket and take them down..." Lin growled to the pair of them.
They hesitated.

[Sera, Yuri(?)]

It was still hard to see anything through the haze but Dith saw Yuri taking off towards the hazy shape he assumed was 'Lucy'. Oh no. s**t. He knew whose side he was on, he'd made that clear the last time he'd seen her, but a part of him still cared about her. Then of course there was the part of him that worried about what she might do to Yuri. Giving Sera's shoulder a squeeze he turned to go. "Be careful! I am following Yuri!" With this said he turned and ran after the young man with the sword, and absolutely no idea what he would do when he caught up to him and to 'Lucy' the rocket.

Much to his surprise Zla was still conscious, nobody else had yet thought him worth attacking. Taking advantage of this he launched Toxic at Odette, hoping she would be too tired recovering from her Hyper Beam to get out of the way.

Teazer's tail twitched as she watched her enemy collapse and turned to search for a new one. After a few moments she focused on Zeus and hissed. So, it came to this? Shame, she'd quite liked him. Giving a sharp yowl the Liepard launched a Pay Day at him, despite knowing he was far more powerful than she.

Luna and Viktor exchanged glances that eloquently expressed 'oh dear' and hastened to aid Teazer, but knowing how tough that pokemon was they decided to be subtle, this time paring Helping Hand with a Future Sight prepared and launched for Zeus to receive a little while from now.

Dith would find a muddy half blind Growlithe running along side him, both of them heading towards the same person.

[Vince]
The Rocket driver pushed himself to his feet at the Aron's insistence, grateful that he'd been unearthed and awakened and reluctant to leave behind the helpful little guy. Aron were awfully heavy, though, as he recalled… He watched the thing burrow slowly into the ground and knelt down in front of it briefly, understanding that he had orders to be elsewhere, but… "Here you go, buddy. Don't wear yourself out." The driver held out an Oran berry for the Aron's consumption.

[Rosie]
The senseless noise the Rocket was producing maintained volume even as it shifted into profanity. She threw her arms up in defense as the charge of electricity threw her backwards.

The Umbreon wasn't about to let Perdy disengage without getting a shot in, launching after it in Pursuit.

[Dove]
Delibird squawked unhappily as the Rapidash accelerated out of range, but he was approaching his target now and wouldn't be able to move forward once he got to the van. Puffing up in indignation, the little pokemon put all his strength into another - fortunately exploding - Present.

[Lin]
Unsure of what was going on with his head down and his mouth full of sand, the Rocket only felt the force ebb from the Wrap and lashed out with every limb at once, kicking and punching and screaming.

This time, the rocket's delibird would find itself in higher spirits as the present exploded at the feet of the feet of the Rapidash, causing it to rear and step back in surprise and from the force, dumping the girl off of his back. Again, the girl would find herself caught against the hood of the car, buffering the fall. While it hurt, she was largely unharmed, aside from the wind being ripped from her chest and the bruises she would find later. Crumpling to the ground for a moment, she stayed still, watching fearfully as Thierry recovered and pawed again at the earth. The arcanine beside them was also affected by the blow, but immediately stepped forward to shield the girl as she tried to catch her stolen breath.

Unfortunately for the bird, Sparky had caught a glimpse of his trainer just as the package exploded, and with a surprising speed, the typhlosion sped closer to the Delibird, launching a flamethrower toward its face.
