"Thank you," blushed the elder man, sticking his hands into his back pockets and relishing int he fact that he hadn't torn anything open yet. Those claws were gone! Finally, he could play the piano without having to get it completely rekeyed. This was too wonderful to be real, and Phoebe was so afraid that he would wake up soon. "We should probably get back down to the picnic," mumbled the former beast after several moments of silence, blushing brightly as he looked to the door. "I'd hate to leave Benson with all those people."

Dragon had just finished wiping the last of his nosebleed when Phoebe spoke. He looked at him, eyebrows furrowing. Back out there? With those people? Those greedy, hungry people? He didn't want to. No matter what he did to show that Phoebe was his, those people would just stare like a pack of hyenas, and he wasn't sure he'd stay harmless towards them if they kept doing it. If Phoebe wanted it, though...
"Okay." he nodded and walked towards the host. Blushing wildly - and also growing lightheaded from the amount of blood he lost in less than an hour - Dragon hooked a strong arm around the man's waist and began walking. He walked in slow strides, his arm making sure to catch Phoebe if he tripped or stumbled in his steps.

By now, a bit of Phoebe's strength had returned, his walking better than before, but the redhead wasn't about to pass up the chance to be held like this by Dragon. He leaned into the strong hold, fingers gripping the Wendigo's shirt-cloth and stepping carefully. Whenever he successfuly managed to walk without incident down the stairs, the former monster turn his face upward toward Dragon, beaming brilliantly in pride.
It wasn't until they were almost outside that he spoke. "Do you like me better like this?" Phoebe asked quietly. "I'm smaller, softer, better looking, but I'd trade it all back for you if you wanted me to."

The young demon also noticed Phoebe's better handle on walking. It was to be expected, but it also filled the younger male with a slight sadness, for soon Phoebe wouldn't need to cling to him so much. Nonetheless, Dragon smiled brightly at the host when they went down the stairs flawlessly. His smile, however, thinned into a confused tilt when he was asked about which side of the other male he liked best. "I don't care how you look. I'm happy just as long as I'm with you." Dragon admitted with ease, not seeming to have the question weigh heavily over him like it did Phoebe. "And even when you were like before, I thought you were the most beautiful person I had ever met. You're still beautiful, just shorter." he smiled down at the man.

"Yeah, by about half a foot," chuckled the redhead, smiling despite himself. With a short sigh, the male looked around his house that had somehow seemed to transform with him. It looked different. Brighter, maybe. Either way, it was perfect for the two, and filled the smaller one with hope.
Blushing at being called beautiful still, Phoebe lifted his gaze to a high chandelier, a sense of dread finally hitting him. "This all means I can go back to work in town," he said quietly, not one to hold back his thoughts with Dragon. "But if I return to work as a lawyer, I won't have time to paint anymore." The male sighed, his thoughts preying on him.

"Maybe it'll be good to go back to work." Dragon pondered aloud as he helped Phoebe step outside of the building. "You'll be able to make money and meet new people." He didn't want to admit that he didn't want Phoebe to leave him alone. Who would want someone as special as him leaving them? But with that curse broken Dragon was sure Phoebe wanted to relive his life.
No longer been seen as a monster, no longer being considered a freak... Yeah, even he would want to society of that happened.

"But I don't need anymore money!" he insisted, stopping them both and looking up at Dragon. "And I don't really want to meet any more people. Besides, if I become a lawyer-" Phoebe stopped himself, cheeks turning red as he looked away. His blush was much more prominent than it was when he was still a monster. "I won't be able to spend that much time with you. I'll be so busy..." The redhead slowly returned his gaze to Dragon's, although his blush deepened. "I really don't want to give up time I can spend with you, Dragon. You're my most important person."

Dragon blinked in surprise when Phoebe argued about taking his job back. Golden eyes stared into clear blue ones, and a blush climbed over his face again when he was called the most important person. Someone that Phoebe would always think about, always care about. Someone he would never abandon or forget. The Wendigo inhaled, having not realized that he had been holding his breath. Then he used the arm around Phoebe's waist to pull him towards him in a tight hug. "Then stay with me." he said, eyes closed as he held the host close to him. "You're important to me, too. You don't have to get a job. We can paint together everyday if you want. Just stay..."

The redhead made a tiny noise as he was pulled into a hug, body stiff at first, then melting into the embrace he hadn't been expecting. "I'll stay with you," he murmured in reply, blue eyes sliding closed as he felt the butterflies flutter in his stomach. "I'll stay with you, Dragon." His fingers tightly gripped the younger male's shirt, the fear within him beginning to ebb. He was so afraid that if he went to work, Dragon would eventually forget him, and he would be invisible again. He couldn't do that again. He needed to always be visible.

Because of their hug Phoebe was unable to see the wide smile on Dragon's face. He eventually leaned away and showed that smile to the host. As much as he wanted to stay like this, even he knew that they'd have to return to that picnic before the host's many admirers forced them there.
They walked down the garden's pathway to the party that had resumed. Dragon kept his arm around Phoebe's waist, but now it was more to keep him close and show others that they had no chance instead of helping the host stay up.

Phoebe, unaware that Dragon held him out of possessiveness and not helpfulness, continued to lean on the male out of sheer will, legs still a little weak, but functioning. He smiled graciously as several servants approached him, congratulating him before walking away. A few valets stepped up, all young and sprightly, with blushing cheeks and shy smiles. They handed Phoebe a small bouquet of flowers, for which his eyes sparkled and smile sweetened. "Thank you so much," he beamed, his own cheeks turning pink at the sentiment. How thoughtful!

All the workers were quick to leave, however, for each one was met with a venomous glare from Dragon. Even those with powers left when given the scornful glare. Nobody wanted to make the Wendigo angry and see just what kind of powers he had. It wasn't even like the demon meant to make these looks, he just got silently angry whenever he saw someone try to get Phoebe's attention, and he would silently tell them to go away.

Beautifully oblivious, the redhead waved goodbye to the scurrying valets and raised the flowers to show his significant other. "Look, Dragon! Aren't they beautiful?" He lowered them once more, inhaling the scent with a smile. "How thoughtful of those three." Spying their picnic blanket still under the tree, Phoebe nodded towards it, then looked back up to Dragon. "Can we go sit?" he asked.

That serious look on the younger male's face instantly melted back to childish joy when he was presented the flowers. "They're very nice." he agreed before spotting the picnic basket. Nodding in response to the question, he walked Phoebe towards the blanket and gently sat him down. Gold changing eyes warily stared at the basket, searching for any signs of ant invaders.
