"You can say that all you want! But we're STILL just standing here! Champion! Do something!" Kyle urged "If you had heard all those screams, you wouldn't just be standing here! Why are we standing here!?"

One of the Sableye clacked its sharp teeth at Roman as well as Manny.

Another piped up as it tilted its head one way.

you want?> Said a third, its head tilted the other way.

The fourth ignored KO's offered gear, but swiped the hat from Tambrey and with a flourish, plopped it onto its purple head that remained straight, unlike the others. None of them appeared willing to budge.

"Let's go around," said Diantha. "This isn't the only way down; there's another stairway not too far from here. It'll be faster than trying to reason with these pokemon - and we were wrong for intruding anyway."

It would be quicker to go through them but that obviously wasn't on the table as an option on the table. KO put his mirror and the gear away again, backed up a few more paces, and then turned to head back up the stairs with a nod to the others. "Let's hurry then, who knows what the Rockets are doing to Xerneas." Or, more to the point, the other way around; their comrades had to be in way over their heads and every moment they wasted here was a moment that somebody could get eviscerated. KO didn't consider himself a compassionate man but he didn't like the idea of teammates getting maimed or killed in the least. He only had limited medical supplies on his person, i.e. what had fitted into pockets, so there wouldn't be a lot he could do for anyone who was badly hurt. Gods, he would really like it if they could get through today without anyone dying.

Adam shrugged and withdrew Manny, "Suit yourself." There was no compromise with the pokemon, which of course was partially his fault. He did want to catch one, but now wasn't the time.

"Let's go."

Lex nodded and backed away, careful as he started for the stairs. This was going no where. "Though, that is a good look for them, with the hat," he said. It was sort of cute and he sighed. well, frustrating or not, no one was dying and no one had lost any limbs. It was a plus!

"Alright, cool, lets just go already." He said, making a motion for the champion to hurry up.
If he had his way he would literally just knock the wild pokemon out of the way. but they still had to hold up the act of Rangers for a little while longer.

Clancy couldn't help himself.
He threw his hands up and huffed.
"Bloody 'ell!" He shook his head, and then quietly complained to himself "Waylaid by bloody gremlins..."

Tambrey withdrew her hand back as soon as the Sableye had taken the hat. She was disappointed that hadn't worked, but she couldn't help but think the sight of the pokémon wearing the hat was kind of cute too.
She smiled sadly, and nodded in agreement with Diantha.
"True. Let's move quickly though. I'm, um, starting to feel worried about the time we're loosing too..." She agreed, sort of, with Kyle as well.

Frost shrugged and turned to go along with the group, it seemed foolish not to just crush the Sableye in their way but he had come to expect that sort of thing from groups such as the rangers and the league. No sense of practicality whatsoever.

As the group turned and left, the hostility faded from their demeanors and was promptly replaced with dejection and disappointment.

The darkest of the Agents hung in the back, arms crossed over his chest, watching in silence as the events unfolded, peering over the rim of the glasses that made seeing in this aria nearly impossible.
His eyes lingered on the champion for a moment, feeling the brushing of something through his hair, knowing very what that was.
"Not yet." He muttered to the stillness around him.
They still needed her.
"Go ahead, check things out." to told to his invisible Gengar.

With another brush, Jerome felt the Ghost's presence leave.
Bro' drifted quickly on ahead to scout things out for the Rockets.

Shadow cast the creepy Ghost and Dark-type pokemon strange looks as they seemed to become disappointed by the 'rangers'' departure. What kind of twisted minds did these guys have, hoping people would stay after they'd shown them such hostility? Ghosts, he thought in exasperation. He'd never understand them.

Hurrying along, he did his best to keep up with his companions as they chose to find an alternate route to their destinations.

Looking over his shoulder, he waved at the ghosts, "Sorry guys. Another time, okay? This could kill everyone, you included." Even if they were dangerous, they were still so fun. Adam did have a penchant for ghosts, it seemed.

Diantha set a faster pace for the group, navigating to the other first floor stairway. Fortunately, Bro's scouting would locate only startled-looking tourists who posed no obstruction to the group. They descended the stairs and proceeded out into the rocky corridor beyond, and as they did so, the floor beneath them shook with a thunderous crash, causing a dusting of earth to shower them from above. The Champion pressed a hand against the wall to keep from losing her footing, and her eyes widened in recognition. "That's Moonblast...!" she breathed. When she spoke again, it was with more urgency in her voice, "That was Xerneas's Moon Blast! That sound-- It came from right under us!"

"Right bloody under us?" Clancy frowned. "We s'posed to dig f'r it or summat then or 's still go down there?" He probably hadn't thought the question through.

KO cursed as he stumbled, also catching his balance on a wall as he looked around wildly; was this an earthquake?... No, it was potentially worse apparently. That meant the other Rockets were fighting it in all likelihood, and in all likelihood they were not all faring too well. "Then we need to get down there, the stairs are close right?" He'd be fine so long as he was careful and kept Regent near him for Protects... and if things went to plan the legendary wouldn't be attacking them anyway.
