The door opened again shortly after her introduction with the boy as a short dark haired girl stepped inside of the classroom and wished everyone present a good morning. Her azure eyes glanced over to her. She was cute in a way. That face of hers, seeming as if it was untouched by the horrors of the world. Ishitari wouldn't notice that she was staring for a good ten seconds or so. When she came back too they had been joined by another woman here. She knew the boy by that name, Tala. Her questioned directed at the runaway was met with another moment of hesitation. This one looked a tad more mature. Dark locks of hair. Entef's talons kneading the gauntlet she wore was enough to spring her from her daze. What was such a feeling? It was all so new to her.

"Are you new here? I've never seen you before. Are you a diviner student?"

Ishitari's firts part of the response was a nod at the girl most near them. "I am indeed new. I come from Bahtavan, a long journey." Her free hand would raise and idly move some of the dark locks in her face. Brief snippits of memories of traveling here would come back. The days hiding from her master's forces, the people that had sacrificed so much for a person they didn't know, the many punishments endured when she was captured for the first time. The searing pain at her back as she pulled on her bindings. "One could say I was eager to leave such a place." Changing topic to her raiment Ishitari answered. "I actually have not a clue. It could be a Diviner or an Elementor." The teacher then entered and greeted the class. He wasn't necessarily the most welcoming man in the world. He bid everyone good morning like his helper and the girl was content nonetheless. She focused on Tala again with a smile as him and his pup got ready for class. In the meantime, Entef would grow bored and find interest in the most recent arrival to class. He chirped again and launched himself into the air with a flap of his still growing wings.

A slew of Bahtavan profanity came from Ishitari while she muttered under her breath. This was only her first day and he was already being his stubborn self. The bird came down on the desk of Kayl, looking up at him. Before Kayl could react, Ishitari came from behind and gently plucked Entef from the desk top. "You restless bird. Stop trying to cause trouble." She said, gently tapping him on his head. The action was met with Entef shaking his head and pecking at her again. She looked down to Kayl and offered a smile, resting her free hand on her hip. "Sorry about him. Entef can be such a troublemaker at times."

                                                                                  OOC NOTES [x]

xxxxxxxxxDeath is not the greatest loss in life...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Calliope didn't spend a lot of the night sleeping, but instead staring blankly to her ceiling. She did not take the now empty bed, and it was far too cold to place her mattress back on the window seal, so she laid next to the raised platform instead. It was a position she had chosen because of her former friend, and throughout the night she wondered if she should garner the strength to move her bed further away. That wouldn't stop the memories or the coping mechanisms she had learned over the months with the girl, and thought against it. When the morning came she begrudgingly got on her clothing, that was obviously a little more disheveled than usual, and walked to class.

Getting inside the girl kept her head down and sat uncharacteristically in the back. Her eyesight was decent enough to see something about power next to the teacher, but she made no attempt at eye contact and did not scan the room of students. She sat with her bag at her side, pressing against her leg for some kind of pressure, before she looked out the window and to the cold. She wasn't in the mood that day, and it showed.

Unused to seeing Rhysian enter the classroom in his highly unusual way, Lelyna gasped lightly, her hand going to her chest as she watched the smoke bellowed from the corner of the room. She’d been about to jump up and call for help to put out what she assumed was a blaze when Rhysian appeared. Eyes wide, she watched as he casually walked into the class, the smoke he’d stepped through dispersing as quickly as it’d appeared. A bit flabbergasted, she blinked and shook her head a little bit – it seemed that she had a great deal to learn from the Professor. Now, more than ever, she was convinced that he’d be the perfect mentor for her.

Hands folded in her lap, she smiled at him and greeted him back, happily. “Good Morning Professor…” Keeping a close eye on all that he did, she read what he wrote on the board and tilted her head to the side a bit. It seemed like a generic topic for the class, but given Rhysian’s unusual methods thus far, she knew that the lesson would be far from boring. But before the lesson could begin, the classroom door opened. Much to her delight, Kayl stepped in, looking rather tired. Grinning, she waved to him from her seat.

She was happy when her twin brother approached her, greeting her individually. Shaking her head a little, Lelyna gave him a warm smile. “No need to apologize, Kayl. I’m glad to see you and hope that you’ve been resting well.” She missed her brother and while she wanted to spend quality time with him, she also knew that he had other obligations and interests, friends and his own studies to see to, thus she tried not to pester him too much. “Let’s catch up after class…” Giving him another smile, she watched him go to take his seat before she turned her full attention back to Rhysian, eager for the lesson to start.

Watching steadily as more students started to enter the room. When Kayl entered, Rhysian's eyes narrowed lightly as he greeted everyone in the class. He was early this day, which was a bit unusual for him, but Rhysian was happy to see it. Then, just as Rhysian finished prepping his desk and items, Calliope came in the door looking fairly somber since last he saw her. She didn't seem to be in very good spirits, but this was something that would not affect or change her training. She signed up for this, wanted to get stronger. The world didn't pause at her behest, and so when the time came, he would continue with her training. For a moment, Rhysian shook his head in hopes she was ready. Crossing his arms in front of his chest as he leaned against his desk, looking out over the students that spoke amongst themselves and slowly took their seats.

"Alright, I think it has been more than enough time," Rhysian said as he uncrossed his arms and looked over the class, noting that he was missing a couple of students. It was then that suddenly a small shadow of a thing caught his attention quickly running across the ground into one of the row of seats. One of Rhysian's eyebrows rose lightly as he watched it disappear into the row and he let out a small sigh while shaking his head and addressing the class once more. "Please take your seats everyone," He calmly said for those still standing as the class settled in. Rhysian was about to speak when suddenly a small bird took to the air, giving a small aerial show before landing on the desk just before Kayl. As the new girl stood, cursing under her breath in the Bahtavan tongue as she chased after the bird, Rhysian took in deep breath of annoyance before holding one of his hands out and shouting "Vahlse!" In that instant, his eyes shifted into a shade of glowing red as his vision faded into one of blurring coloring and shapes. Instead of seeing as he normally would, he could see the individual shapes of every living creature in the room glowing in different shades from inanimate, non-living items. The bird pecking at her master, the small wolf pup scurrying through the chairs came clearly into view even with obstacles such as desks and bags which would normally block normal vision. He quickly brought his left hand up in front of him and snapped his fingers releasing a small wave of energy from the location of both the bird and the wolf pup causing a small puff of smoke to suddenly appear where they were and both animals to completely disappear.

"Having a pet isn't a bad thing, in fact they can help you in all manner of formats, as scouts, as fetchers, or for comfort." Rhysian would start to say while looking at Ishitari and stepping towards her, his eyes slowly started to shift back to their normal piercing blue. "But we are in class now, one that does not require said pets, especially if they are not related to or a part of your raiment. So the least that anyone can do if they are going to bring a pet here is to ensure that they are not only well trained, but well behaved," He would say as his eyes finished returning to normal before looking out over the class for the possible owner of the other animal. "Otherwise, it would be best to perhaps leave them in your rooms. For the time being, your animals are safe, and you can come and collect them at the end of class," He would say before turning back to his desk and walking in front of the board.

"Now, to the lesson at hand. In the last class, we briefly went over differences of attributes of magic and energy, such as power and control. In the next few classes, we are going to delve a little bit deeper into those attributes, to try and gain a better understanding of them, not only in general, but in our own raiment’s and in ourselves." Rhysian would say while turning to face the class before lifting his hand up and pointing at the word on the board. "Today, we are going to discuss Power. So, who here can tell me what Power is? In magical terms, how is it defined? For our raiments, what does it represent? What is Power?" Rhysian would ask lightly while looking around the room for any eager students who’d like to try and answer. He would then select the first person to raise their hand. "Go ahead…"

He spoke loudly, causing Ishitari to look away in surprise. Entef would let out another chirp and the girl looked back just in time to see him vanished before her eyes. "Entef!" With her only trusted creature in the room gone, she would turn just in time to see the instructor's eyes narrowing at her in particular. What was this old fart's problem?

He began to speak about pets and how they probably shouldn't be in a classroom setting which was a fairly good point. One that Ishitari was much to stubborn to concede to. To her, he had taken away a companion she had trusted countless times and never let her down once. Her glare back at him was one of silent fury, defiance. Who was he to declare any right to take away Entef? Her fingers twitched as she focused on him. Just one move would be all it took. Force him down on the ground like the sorry little tyrant he wanted so desperately to be. But doing so would risk a lot. What if he countered? Or worse yet, swung back at her harder? The reason for coming here was to hang low and start anew . Doing this could risk a lot, much more than she was comfortable with. She could even risk hurting Entef or losing him forever. God's, she hated to be powerless like this! As he finished his speech, Ishitari would continue to keep her glare at him, never faltering. They soon parted ways and she sat back down in the nearest chair. She would play this game for now. If the teacher was smart he wouldn't test her.

His question was simple. At least on a first glance. She hadn't been present for the previous class but how difficult could such an answer be? Ishitari's hand shot up first and she answered the question.

"Power is..." her heavy bahtavan accent trailed off as she thought to herself for a moment or to. "Power is the magical strength of our abilities. Raiments that are completely different like Diviners and Cerebrar all rely on how much power they can create or manipulate in order to function. Each will be measured differently, like how strong a Shifter is in animal form or how hot a fire Elementor's fire is."

Her words hid a but of I'll intent, still looking at the teacher with the same venomous look that he had given her. Just two grumps having a pouting match. "I hope my answer was at least...satisfactory."

                                                                                  OOC NOTES [x]

~ Entering Diviner Classroom - New Day ~

User Image User Image It must have sounded pretty bad for the Shadowmancer 'not' to have actually noticed that Fea had snuck away from him, but as the newest member of their class' bird seemed to disappear into thin air - along with Rhysian's comment about Pets not being necessarily a bad thing, Tala would frown, then feel somewhat glad that the pup at least did as she was told...mostly...

At this thought, his hand would drift down to where the cub should have been lying quietly beside him - Like she did in most classes... The reassured expression upon his face turning to one of alarm as he was then forced to cast his vision down to where he had hoped to see the little ball of fur looking up at him inquisitively... "What-the!?" straightening up, he would turn with a confused, yet somewhat peeved look towards the front of the class where the Elder would follow up his comment with another, noting that the animals were 'safe' and that they could collect them after class had ended...

There was perhaps no point in telling Fea off for her disobedience as she may very well have forgotten what she'd done wrong by the time they were reunited...he was still quite disappointed that she'd wandered off, but couldn't help but turn his attention towards the owner of the reason she may well have ignored his orders...

Ishitari was quite swift to raise her hand when the Tutor asked what 'Power' was and how it was defined, Tala of course wasn't prepared to raise his own hand and answer this time, but couldn't help but watch as the female gave her view in her heavy accent. It made sense - even if the words held a noticeable tinge of ire to them - there was little doubt it fell within regards of the fact Rhysian had 'taken' her pet, but until class was over, there was little that could be done about it...

(~Edited to Incorporate Day Flip~)
As the lesson eventually came to an end, Tala would approach the desk with his eyes low, hoping he wouldn't be scolded for bringing his usually obedient companion into class and that she'd be returned to him safe and sound... Only once Fea was once again safely in his arms, Tala would take his leave of the class and return to his dorm room to prepare himself for Electives the following day...

Looking to the new girl, Ishitari as she rose her hand to answer the question, Rhysian couldn't help but notice the scowl on her face, and the defiant venom in her gaze. She wasn't too happy with his actions, something Rhysian assumed would take place, and honestly, he could care less. But with that disgruntled feeling came this burning attitude that hummed in the atmosphere as she spoke. Rhysian's eyes would narrow at that moment, and when she finished speaking he would slowly step around from behind his desk.

"Correct, Ms. Ishitari, well done." He would say aloud just before looking towards her with calm unsettling eyes. '~Child!~' He would suddenly think, his thoughts firmly pressing into Ishitari's mind so that none but her could hear it. '~Spoiled brat of bahtavan... know your place!~' His thoughts would press into her mind once more as he continued to speak to the rest of the class, essentially engaging in two narratives. As he spoke to interpret and enlighten the class, he also thought clearly into Ishitari's mind speaking to the class and to her alone simultaneously.

"While Ms. Ishitari's interpretation is missing a core component, ultimately it is still correct. Power in and of itself is the measure of energy one can conjure and manipulate in order to create the effect of their Raiment or Spell. The more energy one can conjure and contain, the more powerful the manipulation of the natural world, which in effect makes more powerful the Raiment or Spell." He said as he looked back towards the class as his thoughts continued to pervade Ishitari in private, speaking to the girl alone. '~Perhaps this sort of behavior is accepted back home, girl, but here it is blatant disrespect to your elders and their positions. So mind your tongue, mind that attitude, or it shall be minded for you...~'

With that, Rhysian's thoughts cleared and his words echoed into nothingness, no more words would form in her mind and Rhysian would continue the class like normal. He first started on some of the examples Ishitari had brought forth, regarding the strength of a shifter, or the heat of an Elementor's flame. He spoke of which example was correct, the heat of an Elementor's flame, and which was actually a misinterpretation of what power was, the strength of a shifter, explaining the difference between the two to the class. Since the amount of energy conjured could be directly connected to how hot an elementor's flame could get, it was a perfect example for the use of Power and the use of energy. In the case of the shifter, he noted that the strength of a shifter does not come from how much power or energy they could conjure, so much as what the physical make up of their muscles were. If the increased power of a raiment or spell 'was' to increase the physical strength of a living creature, then the effect would be enhancive and would be more in line with an enhancer's power, then a shifters.

After finishing the lesson, Rhysian would look to all of the students with a smile on his face and lean against his desk once more. "Alright class, it is just about that time, we will pick up on component attributes of magic next time. If you have any questions from this lesson regarding power, please write them up and pass them to me next class. Consider this your homework, I will do my best to answer those questions before we move onto the next attribute, 'Control'...Dismissed!" He said while sitting down at his desk and gathering up the materials that he had brought for the lesson. As he was cleaning up his desk, he looked up suddenly and looked through the students as they prepared to leave. "Ms. Callas!, We didn't have much of an interaction today, but I think it is high time we step it up in your training, if you have some free time, please come and see me on the next free day, and we can catch up what we missed and discuss your progress." He said lightly before dismissing her as well and continuing to clean up his desk.

When the students from whom he had confiscated their pets came to his desk to retrieve them, he sighed lightly and looked at them both briefly before speaking. "I've already said my peace regarding pets, no need to reiterate it, however, I will leave you with this..." He said as he brought his hand up over his desk and started to move them in a strange somatic format. "Next time either of your animals disrupts this class, they will simply be discarded, problem solved... Understand?" He said in a very clear tone just before opening his palm downwards and the two animals appeared in a puff of smoke just as quickly as they had disappear. He let the two students take their pets and dismissed them just the same before standing and grabbing his bag in preparation to leave the class.

While Lelyna was certainly very surprised with Rhysian’s methods, she had to agree with him – bringing pets to class was a distraction. While certain people needed them for their raiments, such as Gannon who communicated with Brageet both physically and through his mind with his owl, the pup and the bird that were causing a bit of havoc around the class, as far as she knew, were not necessary for the students raiments. Sighing a bit, she hoped that the animals weren’t too frazzled from their sudden exit from class.

Hands folded in her lap, she listened to the new student, Ishitari’s, answer to the proposed class question, nodding a little bit in agreement. Paying close attention to all that Rhysian had to say she was fascinated by what she was learning. Some of it was review for her – she was a graduate student after all – but some of it was new information that she was very pleased to acquire. Lelyna wondered if she was more like a student rather than a Professor’s Aide, given that Rhysian didn’t seem to need much help when it came to the class. But, it was this thought that made her even more determined to have him as her mentor.

Once the class was dismissed, Lelyna stayed in her seat. She gave Kayl a smile and a wave, silently urging him not to wait for her as she hoped to speak to Rhysian after he’d dealt with Ishitari and Tala in regard to returning their pets. She was surprised by his words – he would make them disappear – but again, she understood; he was not to be trifled with. As a Court Mage of Valor, Rhysian had much more important tasks to see to – teaching a class was merely a favor.

Once everyone had left the class, she stood from her chair and approached Rhysian. Clearing her throat a little, she suddenly felt nervous asking him to be his mentee, but if didn’t ask now she likely wouldn’t. “Excuse me, Professor…I wondered if I might have a few minutes of your time…I know you’re rather busy, so if you’d rather talk tomorrow, I wouldn’t mind waiting.” As she’d expected, he had another obligation to see to, so as such, she agreed to meet with him at his office the following day. After thanking him for another wonderful lesson, she took her leave.

Power. Control. Things Calliope needed to grow stronger. They whistled by her like the wind against the window: out of reach, far away. Her stare broke from the outside world as her name was called up front, her teacher who had actually left her alone all class was mentioning that now. Free day, kick it up a notch. Now that was something she could get into. It would keep her mind off the fact she had never made a coping mechanism that wasn't reliant on another human being, and it would train her like she wanted to be. Calliope nodded at the teacher before grabbing her things when they were dismissed. Next time, she thought.

Recently she had been picking up the slack from her poor attendance, having known that she let her worries linger and weigh her down for long enough. This wasn't her. Every second she let her mind focus on a past problem was a second taken from her efforts to make sure history did not repeat itself. Who's to say if she'll get off lucky again next time? So if I recall... We are combined with theeee... ...!! Her mood shot up at the realisation, it was the Diviner's classroom! Which meant... Tala... AND Lelyna! Guess that's what important. Two people she bonded with during different opportunities would be in the same place, where she can feel at ease being around both of her friends! It was certainly going to make class better to take part in!

Upon entered the classroom Eyrli was rather surprised to find herself to be the first one to arrive. It was a little... Disappointing. Damn. Guess I gotta wait. No point in walking off to find anybody now she was here. It's more likely they'd arrive before she got close to spotting anybody anyways. May as well indulge in the time she has to herself. Hey, maybe one of the other students will arrive soon! Then she at least would have company. And company meant... Distractions! Or at the very least, the good kind...

...

The mute seated herself at the front by a window, allow herself to stare out towards the city in the distance. Her mind wandered, returning to the attack. How all she could do was... Watch. No matter what people said, it felt like she did nothing to help. It was... Honestly? Frustrating. Couldn't even defend myself... Let alone her... Eyrli held her palms out in front of her, elbows on the desk. A soft current of electricity would flow through and around her hands, weaving around her fingertips, occasionally flickering and sparking a touch more intensely, influenced by her frustration. With... This. I could have done SOMETHING. The silent Elementor continued to stare bleakly at the electrified hands before her, even now the mere fact that she COULD have lost not only her own life, but may have lost the lives of those she cared for, continued to be a distraction. Especially when she was allowed time to her own thoughts like this... Funny that, the very thing she didn't want to let cloud her mind was doing just that...

It was such a beautiful day. Spring and Fall were her favorite seasons – Spring, because of the fresh flowers and rain, and Fall because of the changing colors and warmer clothes. Who didn’t like wearing a nice warm sweater while drinking hot tea and enjoying the seasons? Dressed warmly, but in a lighter dress than her winter attire, Lelyna headed toward the Diviner Classroom. She’d walked Mikhail to his class – and given him lots of kisses for good measure – before heading on her way. She suspected that Mikhail was up to something as of late, he’d been making frequent trips to the artisan district, but he wouldn’t tell her why. She suspected that it had something to do with her upcoming birthday, so she didn’t pry.

Sighing happily, Lelyna opened the door to the Diviner classroom and was pleased and surprised to see that Eryli was the only one present. Smiling wide, Lelyna stepped inside the class and closed the door behind her. “Good Morning, Eryli~! It’s so nice to see you!” Lelyna said as she came over to her friend and took the seat next to her beloved friend. She’d been about to give Eryli a hug when she noticed her electrified hands and stopped, not wanting to get shocked accidentally.

“Practicing? Youre such a good student, Eryli, I’m proud of you…” Lelyna said with a friendly loving smile. It was no nice being able to have a moment with her friend. It seemed like they hadnt had the opportunity to spend quality time together for a while now… “What have you been up to lately? I haven’t spent time with you in so long….I missed you.”

~ Outside Shifter Classroom ~

Tala had to admit he felt as though he'd betrayed his friend a little by leaving her back at the Shifter Class - The look on Fea's face had said it all but the longer he had to think about it, the more confident he was that perhaps it had been for the best? For one, she was safe from being 'Disposed of' by the Diviner Tutor if she stepped out of line again, then there was the fact she'd be among those who when Shifted might just be able to communicate with her which was added enrichment for the Cub - Finally, there were at least two faces in that room that he knew and trusted would keep her safe from harm should anything go awry...

Thanya's appearance seemed to have been the perfect opportunity to take his leave and so rather than grace the female's question with a verbal reply, he had instead remained silent before making a swift exit down the corridor when the chance presented itself - He held nothing against the Binturong-Girl, but there was just something about the little Shifter that threw his barriers up and left him on edge... Perhaps the volume in her excited voice, her vast array of questions or maybe just her indefatigable resource of energy? He wasn't entirely sure, but the further away he got from the classroom, the more he was able to calm himself... She certainly wasn't healthy for his anxieties...

Approaching the door to the Diviner Classroom, he would raise a hand - ready to push it open before pausing... He could hear the sound of someone talking on the inside which meant he wasn't the first to arrive, but that didn't necessarily mean he was late... The fact there was no reply to the voice led him to believe that Eyrli was also present - Which seemed to cheer him up to no end - He couldn't explain it, but unlike Thanya's energy, there was something about his fellow Elementor that seemed to break down barriers rather than send them climbing...

Concluding that Eyrli was most certainly there, Tala felt a sort of eagerness to enter, but something held him back and he instead found himself delaying his entrance... If the pair were in the middle of a conversation, he didn't really want to come between them or anything, so instead, he would remain outside the door for just that little bit longer before finally stepping inside and hoping he hadn't missed Lord Rhysian's entrance by hesitating...

This is the year that Griselda is going to feel the most uncomfortable. She promised herself that she will be more social and try things that is beyond training by her lonesome. Of course, she cannot go crazy with trying new things. That could be just as harmful to her as not doing anything new at all. What will be new for her today is attending the Diviner class. There has never been a consistent Elementor professor, which has led the administration to combine the class until they can hire another one. Hopefully the next one will be more permanent. Since Griselda is going to the Diviner classroom, she is sure to see faces both old and new, or at least faces that she does not see as often. She has some concerns over her new look. Letting her hair down, buying some new clothes by doing some odd jobs to earn a little more pocket, even receiving a new piece of jewelry from her father for her birthday that she wears every day These things, along with other aesthetic changes, all for the purpose of making her more approachable. Of course, she will need the attitude to back up these changes, which means she will have to be the first to strike up a conversation even if she does not know what to talk about. After getting dressed and gather all the materials she will need for the class, she made her way to the Diviner classroom. Three students were already there. Eryli and Tala she recognized more than Lelnya mostly due to Griselda sharing a class with the first two mentioned. She entered the class quietly as to not disturb the conversations going on. Once inside, she cleared her voice quietly, bowed politely to her classmates, and said to them,

"Um...good morrow. Uh...good weather out there today...right?."

Eyrli was snapped out of her thoughts when a familiar voice greeted her, turning she would see Lelyna just entering the classroom. It was definitely comforting to see her old friend after not hanging out together for a while, as shown by the sparks in her hands as they would lose their intensity. Lelyna was about to hug but then stopped, bringing attention to the electricity that was still flowing about the Elementors hands. Allowing her raiment to fade, Eyrli returned her friends smile. Bringing a finger to the table to begin tappinng. "Well I might be stuck doing work at the Tavern the next few days." The Elementor was simple shrug her shoulders, hard to complain when it was her own fault. "I missed you too. How is your prince doing anyway?"

Eyrli's turned her focus to the door as it opened again, revealing more fellow students from her class, Griselda and Tala. Come to think of it... Not really seen much of her either... She couldn't help feel a little disappointed, the redheaded girl always seemed to be a little distant when it came to people. Maybe she's just nervous? As the mute girl was wondering, Griselda was approaching to talk... About the weather? Eyrli could tell by the question alone the girl wasn't too confident, but aside from smiling there was little she herself could do to help with that. Upon seeing Tala however, Eyrli was waving her hand frantically to get his attention, Yay! More company! She'd think to herself, refraining from jumping out her seat as for all she knew, a Professor could arrive at any point.

Lelyna was surprised to hear that Eryli was working at the Tavern but she was sure that her friend had her own reasons for working. “Mikhail? He’s his usual self…When we’re together he’s happy and sweet as can be but as soon as we have to leave the house, he gets grumpy all over again.” Lelyna giggled with a smile. Mikhail was such a conundrum.

As more students arrived, Lelyna smiled and greeted them. “Good morning, Tala.” Looking to Griselda, she nodded in agreement. “Yes, it is lovely outside…” It was nice to see Griselda reaching out a little bit – she was normally so withdrawn.

On the same note, seeing Eryli get so excited about seeing Tala, she blinked and then grinned. When had the two of them gotten so close? Looking between the two she had to wonder if Eryli had a little bit of a crush on the boy…it was a very interesting thought.

After some time, Lelyna frowned a bit. Rhysian hadn’t arrived and the morning was quickly slipping away. Sighing a little, she wondered if it was her responsibility to lead the class in his absence? She was the Teacher’s Assistant after all…

“Well, it seems that our Professor is running a bit late. While we wait, why don’t we have some fun?” Lelyna said as she found a stack of cut parchment. “Im sure you are all familiar with making paper birds?” She asked, referring to when you folded and shaped parchment into shapes resembling birds and launching them to make them glide and fly. [medieval paper planes]

Lelyna demonstrated how to fold the parchment for anyone who didn’t know how. She helped Eryli, Tala and Griselda if they needed and made sure that everyone who wanted to participate had a paper bird. “Now, we need height…” Lelyna said with a little look of contemplation. Standing up she moved to the back of the classroom.

“We’ll stand on the desks here and then launch our birds all at once! Whosevers goes the farthest wins!” She said with a smile, stepping up to stand on one of the desks. Once anyone who wanted to participate was ready, Lelyna counted them down. “Ready…set…GO!” Launching her paper bird, she grinned and watched them ‘fly’ toward the front of the class.
