Don't talk about the death of cars please. @_@ My poor van might listen, and I want her to last at least a few more years (though the next couple months would be very nice).
'95 Windstar. My family doesn't like getting new cars so we're slowing buying a new one via part replacements. I think the mileage is around 175000, and is on its second engine and third ignition. XD I think the only things that haven't been replaced are the mirrors and the main body of the car. ^^;;
I like my van. Tis a good vehicle.
Good luck taking care of things, Melinic. Good to see you back, Krome. XD And I hope all of you have a good day.

I learned to drive in a driving course offered by my high school- but I really learned how to handle a vehicle with my first real job. Delivering pizzas. Take 90 degree turns at 40+ mph, and you learn how to work a road! twisted
Of course, I was driving a tank at the time. Delta 88 Oldsmobile . . . wide frame, steel body, and a LOW centre of gravity. That beast could handle anything . . . except the salt air of a beach community. crying I miss him. He was named Omega, because in the end, he could handle anything.

Haha, my first car was a '90 Corolla. Stick shift, rusting apart, but ran pretty well. The only problem I ever had with it was the brake lines rusted out while on 2-hour drive home, and I had to stop at a gas station (had enough brakes to make it safely there) and call somebody to pick me up at 11pm. I named him Gustav, because Gustav is an awesome name. :3
My current car is also a Corolla, '07. Cheap, cheap car. Bare-bones. Lowest trimline, stick shift, manual locks and windows, and that's about it. But hey, it has AC and a CD player, so it's an improvement there. :3 This new Corolla is named Giovanni.
Yes, I like naming my cars after composers. Why not? My friends have cars named Eric (Whitacre), Fanny (Mendelssohn), Johannes (Brahms), Ludwig (van Beethoven), all in the tradition of good old Gustav. XD

I don't know what my first car will be, but I really want a Hearse or a VW Bus.. maybe even a bug...
as a kid, mom and I named the cars... There was Rosy(a red-colored vehicle), Trucky(or the frogsmobile... we had frog stickers on the back), Beeper(the horn randomly went off and wouldn't turn off), and now Generica...
E-mailing in japanese might be fun! *throws confetti with EKA*

I've always driven a stick too, ever since I drove my first car at fourteen. They're the best ever...more fun, better gas mileage, less expensive transmission. >.>
Talon's right, you really do learn how to handle a car if you deliver pizza. I did it for a while. I think there was something wrong with my tires, they'd squeal if you took a turn at ten. Imagine how they sounded at fifty+. >.>
Not, of course, that I endorse in any way driving like that, as it's very very dangerous and all that, and even the best driver can make mistakes.
Anyway.
...A hearse? Okay, I'm seriously curious why you want a hearse. eek

hmmm....i would say that my first car was and '89 Cadillac Sedan Deville that used to belong to my grandfather....he gave it to my dad who turned it over to me since he didn't want to look like an old man behind the wheel.
that car was fun....about a block long and a tank but quite the beast on gas.....it was like driving a giant marshmallow tho and the looks i got when people noticed me behind the wheel were hilarious, especially in the summer when i had rock music blasting out the windows twisted it's since been gifted to someone else who promptly turned around and sold it confused

I named most of my vehicles after transformers . . . no surprise there. Omega (Omega Supreme was the ultimate guy in G1), then there was Katie (named so after my mother's online handle at the time), followed by Vector Sigma (ancient station wagon), Gears (tiny little POS), then Ironhide (a van- yeah baby), and now Mirage- my skylark.

danadien_cortavere ...A hearse? Okay, I'm seriously curious why you want a hearse. eek Hn... I get that reaction a lot x3 I just love em. Nothing like driving somewhere and pulling up in a car that's usually used to carry dead people around in! razz Well, that's not the only reason... I figure, i'm a double bassist... a double bass could most-likely fit in a case shaped like a coffin... Not only that, but you can probably fit almost any needed instrument for a band/orchestra in the back. The VW bus is sortof the opposite then the hearse.... Imagine a punk/harajuku/j-rock chick getting out of a hippie van
