Le Chapeau Wantcookie o_O When did I become such an active member of my school's community? They've shot me an email asking me to chat with the new teachers and offer advice and knowledge about my school and the coming year. xd
You've been given a seat of power.
Abuse it.
But my school intentionally and purposefully only hires hilarious, kooky, good-natured people. I mean, one of my teachers offered a class about monsters in mythology just so we could read Beowulf and Grendel and then put on a puppet show of Dante's Inferno. So they'll inevitably be awesome. Which means that I have to warn them about the hazing that the kids put the new teachers through.

Not in the college frat house sense. xd I mean that the kids inevitably end up taking advantage of new teachers and make it really hard for them during their first year. If the teacher stays on board, the kids accept them, and their next year ends up being much easier. More often than not, though, they leave the school after their first year, in part because of said hazing, in part because we're a Charter School, and are usually given the absolute minimum amount of money that the government can possibly give us, which means that the teachers have even smaller salaries than usual.
