Something fun that everyone can do, newbs and other. A art contest of some sort, a writing contest, a video contest or maybe something else like creating a banner for the guild or something like that. T-shirt designs (can be on actual t-shirts or just paper) Character designs for an icon or perhaps just some sort of game like a scavenger hunter across gaia like from towns to some of the game rooms to like a theater then through a forum. those could be fun (but hard to manage unless you had several people run it.
Youtube tag is also fun

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO the contest should have to do with gaming skill. who ever can become lvl 70 in a month in a half gets gaia gold/cash the games i mention earlier are free to download and sign up for. if you have any questions pm me in game or here on gaia i have the answers.... well most of them lol.

I think it would be kool if we did a "we want you" theme a picture the gets people to join and sumthing funni like ya kno something like we want you to join ya kno!!!! sweatdrop

I think it should be who draws the best logo for the guild. Then the winner's logo is used for our guild's logo. And the winner also gets money. I think that would be fun. ^_^

lol 99% of the guilds here in gaia have tektek contests, cant you guys think of something else?
Try Q&A contests, gaia related questions
Sig/Banner/Slogan making to promote guild
something like that.
