Could Be Worse [Awesome x Mayah]

Alcott had his suspicions, but that would have to be tucked away for now. He walked to where they slept and picked up the towel. "Where do you keep your extra unmentionables?" he asked over his shoulder.

"...you're going to get mad..."

"If you say you don't have any extras then I just might." He turned to the door. "You do have extras... right?"

She kept quiet for a few moments, then spoke again. "No."  

[Its Smiley]

A long, silent moment followed. And during that entire time Alcott's eyebrow twitched an a small vein pulsed at the side of his head. "What kind of girl doesn't bring extra clothes!" he shouted and, with a long sigh, opened the door. "Whatever. I needed more cigarettes anyway. Go take your shower or whatever girls do while I go buy some." he murmured and left before she could respond.

"But I'm already done!" she exclaimed, stepping out in a short towel. "And you'll get me an ugly bra and granny panties."

But he had already left.

{About an hour later}

The door flew open and Alcott walked in with a disgruntled look painted on his handsome face. "Here. I don't know your size - and I don't want to find out - so I got you one of those one-size-fits-all kinds." he muttered and handed her the bag. And true to his word, there were unmentionables in there. They looked like Wal-Mart brands, too, the six packs of everything.

Michaela lay on the bed, fast asleep, her body just barely covered by the towel.

Seeing the girl asleep and practically nude, Alcott grimaced and threw the plush bag at her. "Wake up!" he said snidely.

She screamed, gathering the blanket to herself. "What the hell, man!" she yelled, "And really? Granny panties? Oh, these ones are hipsters, never mind. And I'll just wear my bra from yesterday, it should be dry by now. Now get out!" Michaela threw a pillow at him, standing to change, not caring if he could see everything or not.

"What the-! How was I supposed to know you'd be planning a 'present' for me?" he remarked while holding his arms out in front of him to keep the pillow from hitting his head. But as soon as she got up and began taking her towel off, he was out the door. "I hate rich brats." he said under his breath and walked outside to stretch his glorious wings.

"I hate barbaric morons," she muttered, slipping the underthings on. After about twenty minutes, she strode out, stretching. "Alcott? Hello?"

There was a blur of black and white when Alcott turned to face her, a few feathers floating around him. "Done?" he grunted with a new shirt on that he bought from the nearest store. "Good. Got the box? We're going to be having a long walk today."

Michaela grimaced. "Ugh, walking...I hate walking. It always takes too long," she said, playing with one of the feathers. "At least my boots are comfy."

"You kids today." Alcott hissed and put a cigarette to his mouth. "People used to walk around and ride horses all the time! Now everyone's too lazy to go to the restroom." he complained while hurrying down the road.
