Even though she had made a minor detour to gather more specific information on the mission from the proper authorities, Tsuki found that she was the first to arrive at the gates. Either that, or she just couldn't see anyone else. Now, she had the option to shout and attract attention to herself ot speed up the process, but the little jounin was too shy to do anything like that, so instead, she waited quietly, away from the rest of the crowd streaming through the gates, on the outer side of the gate. She spent the time waiting productively, constructing an introduction to give the rest of the team. The situation of this mission was a tad bit unique in the sense that on the team was a foreign shinobi of a village that Tsuki's village was not on good terms with. Tsuki wanted to trust the girl, but she was also aware of the advantages of keeping secrets, even from fellow villagers and definitely from those not of her village.
As Tsuki thought with her eyes open and staring directly at the ground, she would be able to tell when the rest had gathered around her simply by the number and types of feet. After all, she had spent a good portion of her time in the last meeting staring at everyone's feet. Once they were all present, Tsuki would look up, ready to begin, and then would immediately falter and look back then. She shook her head to regather her wits, took in a deep breath, and forced herself to look back up. For a moment, she would freeze as fear gripped her once more. Then her eyes would close. Childish as it may have been, not being able to see the others settled Tsuki's nerves and she could begin.
"Hello. Um, our mission this time is supposed to be a combination of gathering information and potential rescue. As you may know, non-shinobi have been acting... uh... er... strangely recently. Our village has managed to somewhat control the situation within our walls because of its large shinobi population, but riots are continuing to occur throughout the rest of the Fire Country territory. A standard shinobi squad of four had been sent to a nearby city to investigate the causes for the riots. Communication with them, however, has been lost, and so as the ones who accepted this mission, we're supposed to search for them. From there, we either rescue and help them with their investigation if possible or continue their investigation in their stead.
"Before setting out on the mission, though, I think it's best if we introduce ourselves. I understand that the presence of a Kiri kunoichi in our team might make some feel uncomfortable with revealing information, but please at least tell us the role you consider yourself most suited for in a fight. I'll start. My name is Mizutou Tsuki. I'm trained in battlefield control with both Fuuin and Suiton jutsu but am far from being a master of either. I am, according to almost all my teachers, an incurable coward, so I apologize in advance for any scenes or breaks in formation I may cause. Please take care of me."
Her giant speech over, Tsuki let out a long but quiet exhale of relief as she moved her head so it was back to looking at everyone's feet and opened her eyes ever so slowly. It was done, but she was still too scared of seeing everyone's reaction to it to dare look up. Once the next person would begin speaking, however, her head would jerk up, her mind forcing her body to look straight at each ninja as they introduced themselves. For each individual that spoke, Tsuki would try to stare straight into their eyes for as long as possible, the time of which would vary from a mere moment to a few second at most, before timidly faltering and darting over the rest of the individual's features. Fully/Partially Visible Tattoos ↬ Tsuki has a set of tattoos that collectively take the design of multiple wings. At each of her shoulder bones, Uzumaki sealing tattoos etched in white, almost silvery ink extend from her shoulder bones onto her arms, wrapping their skinny shape all the way down to the back of Tsuki’s hands. In the same color is a second pair of wing tattoos that start in the middle of her back, one below the left should bone and the other below the right. These tattoos circle around her waist to the front of her body, where the wing shape that that they design take a steep dip to between the legs. The width of the wings narrow on the way down to the legs and continue to narrow as they spiral down the legs much as the first set of wings spiral down the arms. Once the pair of tattoos reach the knees of the legs they are spiraling down, the seals written into the tattoos are shaped into a ring right below the knees.

xxxxxTomiji watched from a distance as the group began to arrive at the gates, having heard rumors hear and there that a large band was planning on investigating the strange happenings in the forest. As a man who was no longer affiliated to either village, the killings had baffled him for quite some time. Why would the two strongest nations go around killing each other when they knew it would lead to all out war. And then there were the battles that took place in both villages. Looking at the area around the gates, it seemed that Konoha had been in for a pretty rough battle. He stood off to the side pondering all the thoughts that ran through his head for a moment, listening to the person he assumed to be the leader. From the looks of things, she was a jounin, and from the sound of things, an Uzumaki. What really caught his attention was the fact that she flat out admitted she was a full blown, 'incurable coward.' But even a coward had their uses, and a sealer had even more uses. Once the 'leader' had finished speaking, Tomiji approached the group, introducing himself to the small girl who was the leader. As he spoke, he towered above her, standing almost a foot and a half taller than she was "I do hope you don't mind me intruding, but if you have room for one more, I would be more than happy to lend my skills. I am a master of Taijutsu and close range combat. I am also... proficient in the usage of Raiton jutsu. And well, as to my name, you may call me Tomiji, or simply just Ji. I don't mind either. At one time or another, I was a Jounin." He reached into a fold of his rob, pulling out his pipe, which quickly found itself lit and hanging out of his mouth. He looked around the rest of the group, hoping that they had a medic and someone who could actually use jutsu to do some real damage. Tomiji knew he was strong, but there were some things that only jutsu could accomplish.
xxxxxHe took a long drag of the pipe, blowing out a large cloud of sickly sweet smoke into the air surrounding the group. He looked around for a second before he found a nice fallen tree to lean up against while he waited for the rest of the group to introduce themselves and get the mission underway. It seemed so long ago that he was a fresh Gennin getting ready to go out on his first mission with Turpis, the old Mizukage. It seemed like a lifetime and a thousand battles ago that it had happened. To think he would find himself helping members of the leaf village now. It was odd to say the least, but the situation was growing dire if one person could bring a village to their knees. Jounin: Corundum - Hardness Bones Dance of the Larch Passive Karamatsu no Mai is a form of Taijutsu developed by Kimimaro to take advantage of his cursed seal and bloodline ability. It is the third of five dance forms. After activating the level one cursed seal form, Kimimaro will begin to extend multiple bones from his body. Both from his rib cage and his radius and ulna. Because they are hard as steel (and can be as hard as hyper diamond at Kage), these bones can act as a strong defensive mechanism against incoming strikes. Due to this they will also serve as an offensive attack to allow Kimimaro to move with little effort to impale his opponent.

Using the ability to manipulate their bone structure, the clan member will grow and extend a forearm bone through the palm of their hand to form a stabbing instrument. It wasn't long till Ruka arrived at the gates. Quickly making her way there as if to get away from someone. The only person there so far was the small female shinobi who had bumped into her in the most embarrassing way. Counting the amount of people that should be here realizing how many of them were going on this mission. Dame why doesn't Konoha just send their dame military? These thoughts swirled around in her head as she approached the kunoichi and even though her brain was busy at work with these thought Ruka remained expressionless. Questioning herself as of why she was even going. She didn't care much for Kiri or finding out the truth so why was she doing this? She only ever cared for herself and the perks that came along with being apart of a village. Should she be grateful that Kiri took in a total outsider? Maybe but she wouldn't bend her knees to them so easily.
Tsuki looked directly at the ground as Ruka's black high heels came into view. Unspoken words past between the two females as Ruka remained standing in a single spot, completely still. Watching the girl as she gathered what seemed to be every once of her ability to speak. Her eyes flicking up and down out of view as she seemed unable to make eye contact with any of them for too long. Finally her voice rang out in a gentle form of greeting then kept on as she spoke of the mission. Ruka would listen as her arms hung by her sides in another relaxed manner. Her eyes softly closing for a moment as her long eye lashes rested against her pale skin. This gave Ruka the appearance of a doll so cold but flawless. Those closed eyes slowly opened as the girl began to speak of Ruka. The beautiful mix of pink and red that made up the color of her eyes looked out. Tsuki went first however as she spoke of herself, her abilities and a little bit of side information. Oh boy this was gonna be fun. Admitting to being a cowards which was a bit of a laugh that she admitted it but at least she knew of her own flaws.
Just before Ruka would speak an unknown man approached them. It seemed he wished to come along as well and Ruka simply looked and listened as he spoke. Was he a shinobi of this village? He said master of Taijutsu, right? As well he was held the rank of Jounin. Ruka didn't know what to think being only a Chunnin herself could she believe she was in good hands? From what she could tell from early at least two from before had to be Jounin and now a third one. She was begging to wounder if this mission had some sort of great danger hidden behind it. After he was done speaking the man named Tomiji took out a long pipe and rested against a near by tree until the group finished sharing. Once again Ruka parted her lips to speak this time her voice escaped into the air with a sweet and honey like tone, "I'm Ruka Ranton." she began as her relaxed arms began to cross over her chest appearing as if she was protecting herself but she continued. "I specialize in my bloodline and clan abilities. I posses Suiton and Raiton. I'm trained in taking down multiple targets. I am also a Chunnin." and she left it at that. Honestly she thought that to be enough. If they had any more questions they could simply ask not promising she would answer. I am a Jounin of the village and am a long range ninjutsuist who uses, Doton, Katon, Fuuton, and Jinton, though I mainly use doton as my element." Kendall was not far away when he heard of the mission. In his suit and tie, dress shoes and hat, he didn't look like the powerful shinobi he was. Using his powerful sensor abilities Kendall could feel all of their chakra, determining their ranks and skills before anyone of them had started. Tsuki, for the moment, held the most interest. She was leading the mission, and on top of that she was also a host to the most powerful any demon in the lands. He could feel the power of the beast within and decided to make it his business to accompany them on the mission. He approached the group and cleared his throat, looking between them all for a second before actually speaking.
"Perhaps you have heard of me. Perhaps not. I am Kendall Weiss," he said with his proper English accent, "Right hand of the shogun, medical shinobi. My rank is not important, nor do I much care for such frivolity, but if I put a value on it, I would be at the same level of strength as our kage. I am, however, going to be coming along on this mission, if for no other reason than to see the status of the country for myself and keep you lot safe." His eyes rested on Tsuki, and then Ruka for a second, then Michael, and then everyone else in some random order. He would nod inward. "Right. I will defer to the leader of your band of misfits then. ≫............It seemed some time on the journey from the streets to the Gates that Hiruma and Lucifer had separated, and although he knew the man was teasing him from his choice of vocabulary he simply went along with it so that Lucifer wasn't giving any of the females on the team sexual harassment, and with that in mind he had taking a slight detour to the gates to try and keep Lucifer from them as long as possible. Even with all the extra streets however, it seemed they were still one of the first few to arrive, or well, in the middle per say. Luckily though, it wasn't much longer until the others arrived and the briefing / introductions went underway. First up was this mission's leader which just happened to be the most quiet one out of the group, Tsuki. Violet eyes watched on as she struggled to either find the words to say or to just get them out if not both. Finally however, she steeled herself enough to deliver the longest line of speech his has ever heard her say in his short time of knowing her. With a speech like that, he wasn't sure if she would be able to say another word for the rest of the mission after having used up all of her courage in one go like that.
≫............So.. this particular mission was a search and recuse mixed in with some recon huh? That shouldn't be too hard. It would definitely be a change from the missions he has been doing recently and it sounded like this was also attached to the mysterious 'possessions' with the villagers so hopefully they would get closer to solving the problem if not just solve it entirely in one go. A team of four was sent to investigate the outskirts and we've lost contact with them. That meant either they were KIA or MIA. With a sigh to himself he tried pushing the worst of the thoughts to the back of his mind and when he came back to reality it seemed there was a newcomer present and he wished to join. Not having any complaints with that, Hiruma let him speak his peace and finally offered a slight bow in his direction. "I would like to be the first one to welcome you aboard then, Tomiji-san. I look forward to working with you." With another Jounin on the mission from Ji's help, it seemed this mission would be an easy success. Next to introduce themselves was the female who was harassed by Lucifer in the streets which the young Kaguya now knew to be Ruka Ranton, a Chuunin. Once she was finished he gave her a polite bow as well and waited for the next person to go and he got his answer rather quickly as Michael spoke up.
≫............Pretty much knowing everything Michael was going to say, he spent this time swishing his tongue back and forth in the air getting a taste of their surroundings and upon doing so he could taste the man who wasn't that far away which drew his gaze in that direction. When his eyes locked onto the origin of the taste he wasn't all that surprised to see Kendall there. He was the man from the last attack who did some barrier stuffs which was a pretty good show. When the man walked over he gave him a bow just like the rest out of respect. So his full name was Kendall Weiss huh? "Welcome aboard then, Kendall-san." After turning back to the group gathered here it seemed no-one was wanting to speak up as if wanting to be last, so in order to fill the silence the young Kaguya cleared his throat before starting his own little speech. "Well, my name is Hiruma Yoichi and I am a Chuunin." Having not received the orders from Yumi yet, he didn't want to divulge his true rank and give away that he was undercover. "I am a close quarters specialist and it is my greatest strength. I could be a long range support as well, but I have been lacking in my training of elemental origins. I will try my best to not hold us back and I thank you all for allowing me to come along. I will be in your care." He had no real way of knowing in the end sadly, since his parents were dead and he had no way to contact any of his remaining family members to confirm if they had children or not. Shaking his head momentarily he listened to them all introduce themselves, stating their name and ranks alongside their strengths. It was a useless practice in Nobuyuki's opinion, but he had no real choice but to comply given they would be working with him until the end of this mission. After his cousin Hiruma finished his introduction he himself stepped up, opening his eyes fully before speaking in a calm, collected tone. "My name is Nobuyuki Yoshikazu, I'm a Jounin. " Stopping for a moment in case anyone wanted to speak up in response to that or anyone else, Nobuyuki glanced around before continuing to speak. "I can be either a long range specialist or a close ranged specialist. I have little to no elemental knowledge aside from my...special abilities, but I'm sure they will be more than enough for this mission given how many people are in attendance." With that said he stepped back, keeping one of his hands in his pocket before letting the other one hang limply at his side whilst he stared blankly at those around him, waiting for them to speak or decide on what the best course of action would be for them at the moment. If they failed to do so he would most likely attempt to move on by himself before continuing on with the mission until someone else caught up with him and joined alongside. When Lucifer stepped into the area, his arm still around Hiruma's shoulder, it seemed as though everyone else were introducing themselves and revealing their abilities. How frustrating. "Well, I really don't like talking about myself, contrary to popular belief. If you were in the streets, you saw that I use metal. And that's about all you need to know. So yeah." The man then took his arm off Hiruma, and skittered over to Ruka once again, placing his hand across her waist and pulling her close. "My name is Lucifer Heiland. Kleine and I are twinsies, so if you see him, you'd damn well better get used to seeing me as well. I was originally from Grass, but budget cuts made them close, so that's that. Oh yeah, and I'm a Jounin." Not the most tactical introduction ever, but hey; at least it got him closer to this magnetic woman. They really did need to go out for a drink or something when this was all taken care of. While the others were having idle chatter among themselves, he turned to her, and whispered into her ear with his silvery tongue, "You never did answer my question, though. Depending on your answer, I may invite you to my humble abode once this is all over." His voice would caress her, like a gentle massage rolling down her shoulders, all the way to her feet.
In a way, it was almost like she were being seduced by the devil himself. Lucifer was aptly named.
As Arashi walked around the city after training, he saw the gathering of shinobi going towards the walls. knowing that there was just an incident recently that he could not assist in while he was a Genin, he felt as though now if there was another he would actually be of some use this time. he walked up to them in time to hear Tsuki finish speaking and heard all the introductions. as he stood back he realized that this wasn't a defensive group, but a group that would be exploring and that sounded much more exciting. when he heard Tomiji speak he smiled and his eyes lit up. he hadnt met someone whose fighting style was so similar to him since he arrived in Konoha. as he saw Lucifer interact with Ruka he chuckled, realizing that this group would probably have a really interesting dynamic. Although the group was already large, he wanted to see if they had room for another member. "hey, what's good? My names Arashi Raiken, I'm a newly promoted Chunnin Taijutsu and Raiton user as well. I'm just about equally proficient in both, looks like you guys are gettin ready for some fun so you can count me in! Ide like to tag along and maybe learn a thing or two from you guys." as he said this he looked around at the group but at the end specifically toward Tomiji, indicating that last statement about learning was more towards him. He knew next to nothing about the mission but he knew that the burning desire for excitement in him couldn't be quenched by anything else.

Tsuki had been hoping so very, very hard, unimaginably so, that someone would step up during the instructions to take the leader position away from her. That, however, did not happen, and she was left to accept her fate. After the last person introduced himself, the third sudden addition to the group, Tsuki breathed out a quiet but shaky sigh. She had ideas of how everyone should be arranged. However, she was too scared to force her ideas onto the others, so instead, she trusted each to understand and position themselves appropriately should the need arise. Tsuki winced at the thought, The feat wasn't impossible for her. Most of her teachers never believed she could lead anything, a result of them thinking that she was an incurable coward. Her brothers and sisters, however, were more hopeful for her and had forced her into the squad leader role so many times, that Tsuki was capable of it. Albeit, she was capable with many drawbacks, like the previous display of having to close her eyes before giving the mission briefing. Still, that was much better than when she first started. When she was first forced into the commanding role, her fellow orphanage siblings had to finish the mission with a commander that could only stand mute, shivering in one place. Just the memory of it embarrassed Tsuki so much that she wanted to go hide under the nearest rock. Through sheer will, though, Tsuki stood her ground.
"Newcomers are welcome. We are," she spoke quietly, her supply of will starting to run low, "to head to the coastal city of Shirota. We will travel as one group through the wilderness. If, for whatever reason, we are split, there is a shrine at the peak of the solitary mountain behind Shirota that will act as the rendezvous point." Several things were left unsaid in that statement, either unimportant tidbits of information or stuff that everyone who wasn't living under a rock should have known by now. While not common knowledge and not necessarily important to the mission at hand, Shirota was a coastal city that bordered the waters nestled between the Fire and Water countries. On one side of it was a beach of white sands, the city's namesake, and on the other was a gorgeous mountain. It served as a popular vacation spot for its dual natural attractions, and had been originally zeroed in as an investigation target for its lax history and close vicinity to the Water Country. Tsuki's reason for asking everyone to stay as one group was common knowledge by now. Civilians had been running rampant. She did not presume everyone in the group was vulnerable to such attacks, but her fear had her rather be safe than sorry.
With everything said, and all with her eyes closed again, Tsuki turned away from the rest of the group and opened her eyes to the regrown greenery stretching out before her in all directions. The plant life relaxed her until she started imagining about the horrors that could be lurking just out of reach. Another wince, before she blinked hard before dashing off in the direction of Shirota, hoping she'd find even a tidbit of courage while on the way there. (3737 + 556 = 4293 total)

Fully/Partially Visible Tattoos ↬ Tsuki has a set of tattoos that collectively take the design of multiple wings. At each of her shoulder bones, Uzumaki sealing tattoos etched in white, almost silvery ink extend from her shoulder bones onto her arms, wrapping their skinny shape all the way down to the back of Tsuki’s hands. In the same color is a second pair of wing tattoos that start in the middle of her back, one below the left should bone and the other below the right. These tattoos circle around her waist to the front of her body, where the wing shape that that they design take a steep dip to between the legs. The width of the wings narrow on the way down to the legs and continue to narrow as they spiral down the legs much as the first set of wings spiral down the arms. Once the pair of tattoos reach the knees of the legs they are spiraling down, the seals written into the tattoos are shaped into a ring right below the knees.

xxxxxTomiji continued to lean up against the log, relaxing as he heard the rest of the group make their introductions. Most of them seemed to have little combat experience, or little in the way of jutsu. It became quickly apparent however that they had more than enough raw muscle to accomplish most things. But there was something that struck him as odd. The leader seemed to have neglected to assign any real positions to the squad. It would be a mad house if they all simply ran where ever they wished too in battle, and it made it too hard to cover their sectors if they were attacked. He quickly rose, trying to prevent anyone else from running off. "We have one small issue. We have not been assigned positions to do battle yet. It simply won't do to just have everyone running around freely in battle. Up front taking point will be myself and Hiruma. As the rear guard, we have Michael and Arashi. In the middle will be Tsuki and Ruka. And finally, Lucifer, Nobuyuki, and Kendall will be mixed in through out. You three will react and flex to where ever we need more firepower. I don't expect we should run into any trouble traveling in a group of this size, but times are dangerous. And I must warn you, Shirota may be a tourist attraction, but it also has its dark corners. If there are no more questions, lets head out." The pipe from his mouth now disappeared back into a pocket of his robes as he took off behind Tsuki. Already he was scanning the treeline, looking for any possible threat that would present itself. He hoped the current make up he had suggested would work. With both himself and Hiruma up front, it gave them the best chance of identifying and intercepting any threat quickly. With Michael in the rear, he knew he had a Jounin that could hopefully hold his own long enough for the reaction group to appear. And placing Ruka and Tsuki in the middle gave them great firepower and crowd control that could reach any corner of their group. But that was all dependent on how well everyone took orders after all. If things kept up, he was going to have to step into the leadership role. (4293 + 387 = 4680 total)
Jounin: Corundum - Hardness Bones Dance of the Larch Passive Karamatsu no Mai is a form of Taijutsu developed by Kimimaro to take advantage of his cursed seal and bloodline ability. It is the third of five dance forms. After activating the level one cursed seal form, Kimimaro will begin to extend multiple bones from his body. Both from his rib cage and his radius and ulna. Because they are hard as steel (and can be as hard as hyper diamond at Kage), these bones can act as a strong defensive mechanism against incoming strikes. Due to this they will also serve as an offensive attack to allow Kimimaro to move with little effort to impale his opponent.
Dance of the Willows Passive It is the first of five dance forms. Using the ability to manipulate their bone structure, the clan member will grow and extend a forearm bone through the palm of their hand to form a stabbing instrument. Using fluid and precise movements, they will then impale opponents.

The others showed up slowly and with their arrival began to speak of their abilities and names. Being a total of seven now if she counted correctly. Enough to make two teams with one left over. Ruka listened to each of them but didn't pay much attention to anyone in particular that was until Lucifer made his way onto the scene. His arms was still around Hiruma's shoulder as if to be buddy buddy with him now. It was almost impossible not you roll your eyes at the two but Ruka held back her sighs as he began to introduce himself like all the others. Her eyes looked off towards the south in the opposite direction of his voice. Actually in the complete opposite direction of Lucifer all together. Might appearing hard headed but Ruka didn't want to be interested in anyone. She didn't want relationships of any kind with others unless necessary she couldn't stand to be betrayed again.. not like how Indigo had done to her and so many others up to this point. Throwing the thoughts of her past out of her mind she listened to his words however; speaking of his use of metal which was clear after what happened on the streets of Konoha.
Ruka did not see Lucifer leave Hiruma's side as she wasn't even looking in their direction but felt a familiar body beside her. The presser of a hand and fingers moved across her waist and pulled her close to whoever was beside her. Ruka was caught off guard as her head whirled around to see those stunning hazel eyes from before. Her hands moving to his chest for a moment to push him away but she quickly retracted them due to her sudden shock a spark of black lighting snapped from her index finger and into the ground where it fizzed out. He was so close to her again it made her very uneasy. He spoke his full name along with the subject of having a twin and the worse part of it was he was from the grass village the place in which she grew up and left her blood soaked past. Turning her head away from Lucifer wanting no long to listen to his captivating voice but leaving herself open as he moved closer to her exposed ear. His silver words slipped into her mind in such a way that would make most women weak but Ruka remained standing as she was the only one that heard his tempting words. "When this is all over." turning her head back in his direction as her cheek seemingly pasted over the very edge of his lips."I'll be returning to Kiri." her eyes narrowed gently as she wondered what game he was playing at. He was charming, inviting and seductive but Ruka wouldn't allow herself to give into the forbidden fruit he was offering. The devil had finally caught up to her.
Things seemed to be moving along as she watched Tsuki give out the order to stay as a group. Her eyes leaving Lucifer and followed after the female as she dashed out into the forest that surrounded them in the direction of Shirota. Tomiji spoke aloud now but Ruka couldn't pay much attention with Lucifer holding her to close. The sound of blood echoed in her ears drowning out his voice. Her face turned to look at Lucifer again and spoke in almost a whisper, "Let me go." she told him. Her sakura colored eye looking up at him awaiting for him to do so. Tuning back into Tomiji just in time to hear her own name and where she would be positioned in the group. Having no problem with the orders all she needed was for Lucifer to let go of her waist. Kendall adjusted his tie as the last few stragglers came along. When Lucifer arrived Kendall had already sensed his chakra coming and determined how strong he was. The same went for Arashi. All the different types of chakra here were quite interesting indeed. In fact, to any other sensor it would seem odd that a well dressed man, civillian by look in fact, and with such a high chakra level would even be there with the group. Well, Kendall had his reasons to be interested in the goings on of the outer country, especially on the border between Hi no kuni and Mizu no kuni. A pen and paper produced itself from his pocket, and with a seal his gear appeared. There was a cross bow now slung onto his back. It didn't seem light by any means but kendall barely noticed it at all. He rolled up his sleeve, revealing his bolts, each one holding a specific seal, and tightened their holders before rolling them back down. For the most part that was all he needed, what with his three taijutsu styles being his only other true assets.
When Tsuki began speaking he could tell she didn't seem to very much want to be thrown into the leadership position, which only made him glad that he hadn't taken over. She did seem a bit Lax, not wanting to be involved in directing who would go where. Kendall had no problem dictating that and allowing her to lead after. He was a man of mind anyway. But to his surprise Tomiji had stepped up and dolled out the placements. He did a good enough job of it, he supposed. But Kendall would position himself dead center regardless. For one, he had the best sensory abilities of the group, even better than the byakugan present in his opinion.On top of that, his radar pulses could do the most damage to enemies as long as Kendall was centered. But then Kendall had a thought. He may not have been as fast as the taijutsu specialists, but he was almost assuredly stronger and could move surprising fast for his class. He stepped to his position and cleared his throat. "Right then. If no one else has any objections... we should head out." Kendall would await any further words from the center of the band of misfits, taking notice that Lucifer was making one of the people uncomfortable, but realizing that soon their formation may end up breaking them away anyway. This woman...deep down, somewhere inside of her, Lucifer could tell she was enjoying this. To be perfectly honest, he had no clue what it was that was drawing him to her so fervently. Even in...the midst of his own personal attraction to women, he'd never quite felt a pull like this. Just what was it about this woman that he found so alluring? It was funny; even though she felt so drawn to him, the reality of the situation was the complete opposite. "...You want me to let go, huh? I'm gonna be really, truly honest with you. I don't want to. And I don't know what it is about you that makes me say that." He did--albeit reluctantly--release Ruka so that she could follow with the others. He would follow as well, at a very leisurely pace; top speed, Lucifer was extremely fast, probably faster than anyone else in the immediate area. Keeping close to Ruka, Lucifer said one last thing before they got into position. "And one day, if you let me, I would really like to find out what this connection is." After that, he flexed back into the back of the group, where their defense was least at the moment. In order to keep things proportional on the defensive, it was necessary for Lucifer to flex the most. Otherwise, there wouldn't be enough steel to use as a perimeter defense to shield everyone in the event of an attack. Other than that, the group seemed to begin their travel to Shirota City.
