"Well, my dear..."
"Try as I could, I couldn't get quite a bit of the treasures I attempted to retrieve," Syr says as she sits down her broken pieces down on a pile of shells to converse. "The first of the trials was for the amphora of the Squid Lord's treasury. The rumors were that any of his amphoras or water holding vessels held within his treasury would grant any number of special powers. But the traps were too much for me. I'm not accustomed to such things."
Syr leaned back, the shells gave beneath to where she became comfortably reclined. She gave a groan as her bones creaked and the bruises reminded her of their existence.
"So I went and told a dragon my saddest tales. In a funny way, it was fortunate I had fresh ones, for the dragon freely gave her tears which I was able to string together on a necklace for you. The other creatures, alas, were utter failures to capture and subdue long enough for their treasures. It's just as well, it's kind of sad to exploit something just for its magical properties now that I think on it."
"So I traveled on to the home of the sea god, Poseidon. I told him of my mishaps and he took pity on me and bestowed upon me one of his many chalices crafted from the bones of a whale. I've brought it for you here. It's not magical in itself, but it's from a magical place. The home of a god is as magical as it gets!"
"Capturing animals, it seems, is not my strong point. I tried again, nevertheless, to see if I could just once more. It failed, but what I did manage to finally get surprised me most of all!"
Syrcaid pulls the lockpick and shows it to her. "This is the lockpick of Autolycus! The master thief himself and here I was, dumb as post by comparison, bumbling about and a thread tears from his pocket. Sheer luck and the thing silently slipped, I dove to grab it before he could realize and I slipped away. It was the last and final thing I was able to procure for your entertainment. I hope it serves you well."
