Not a bad job, but you can get a black belt in just 4 years or so. Still, it goes up to what... i think 10th degree black belt right?

I know a little of many kind's. I got to first degree purple belt in karate, before being yanked out of it (mom pissed off the sensei so he kicked us out) and being sent to learn capowera, which i got to a 3rd level green patch in, after which I was yanked out cause dad thought it looked to much like dancing. So I was taken to do tae kwan do (got to 3 lessons, then the place was shut down by better busness bureau), then judo (went bankrupt and had to close the school because he got screwed in a divorce), and so on and so forth. Apparently I'm very bad luck to any school i go to.
fortunately, i did get to do a few tournaments, and out of the 6 i got to enter i won 3. 2 for capowera, 1 for karate.

Ayanami - Um..Okay ^^ if I can mak eit to anime con then I shall!*Makes goal*
Makibi - tournaments? yes I have. There really fun ^^ however since now am in the adults we dont have that much protective gear like we did in the kids class so its kindove scarey to be paired up with older people>< so I mostly get 2 or 3rd place nowadays.
Revamp - thats alot to learn. adn its good to hear that you have won three of them ^^

Your dad was stupid to let you into it in the first place. It was created so that the black slaves could be practicing their martial arts, without the slave masters understanding what they were REALLY doing. It was all done in Brazil. Which evolved from a special courting dance in which two suitors would mock fight in order to gain a maiden's hand in marriage. It's dancing AND fighting...a yin and yang thing. Which is VERY powerful, because you can quickly turn it into a dance to make yourself look innocent not to mention other stuff...

I already knew that. Learning a bit of all that all worked out well though. i've managed to make my own style by combining everything i've learned, and it work's very well. People have no idea what to do when you use the moves from capowera to blend everything else together, and it can get pretty deadly.
