Alright, so there are two types of schools: Private, and Public. You know that already. A subset of Public is Charter, a school that is funded by the government, provided they can prove that their kids are really learning. A Charter school is different in that the founders draw up a plan for how things are going to be taught, and then the government approves it. In this way, a Charter school can run things pretty much however they like, so long as the government is in agreement. My school is interesting because we focus more on quality than quantity. Rather than getting tons of homework nightly, we get tons of projects weekly. The learning is much more hands-on than usual, and we have no qualms about getting down and dirty with science, or anything else. When we turn in a project, it's graded, and handed back. We can then revise it, and turn it in again, as many times as we like. In order to move up to the next grade, you have to work for it, and obtain many assessments of the highest grade. This is made easier by the revision process, and teaches the kids to always put in high-quality work.

It's funny, my school only hires teachers that will care. They do everything in their power to help you get through.
