The Betman TtheHero I know I've been rather interested in the character that is Tingle as of late...
...Wherein simply saying 'interested' can quite the understatement...
But what do you guys think about the guy?
In all honesty, I like how the background for his character has been developed.
According to what I've read, there's some debate about whether he's Tingle, or 'a Tingle'.
In Tingle's Rupeeland y'see, Uncle Rupee changes him into a 'Tingle'. And as a Tingle, one has to donate Rupees in order to Reach Rupeeland. But the truth of it all is that, once enough Rupees has been amassed, Uncle Rupee, actually being a demon, intends to turn all inhabitants of the world into Tingles, enslaving them and forcing them to work for him for eternity.
In a way, Tingle is much like Link, in the sense that he becomes a Tingle to eventually rise up and challenge Uncle Rupee.
As for the deal about fairies...
Quote: Fairies are Uncle Rupee's archenemies. Uncle Rupee is the manifestation of evil Rupee power (greed/egoism), while Fairies are the manifestation of good Rupee power (charity/altruism). As such, a Tingle that chooses to fight Uncle Rupee will find themselves closely aided by the Fairies.
So going by this, it offers a pretty reasonable explanation why he's interested in fairies.
