Ben had been leaning against the back wall of Lilli's room during the birth.
Ben, after the baby had been born, approached her.
He sat on the bed, opposite of Klaash. He looked down at the sleeping Toshi. So calm and peaceful.
"Here. Do you want to hold him?" Lilli asked Ben.
Ben nodded, "Sure. I never got to hold Nubo as a baby. I didn't even know he was alive.." Ben said, trailing off as Lilli set Toshi in his arms.
Toshi yawned andf opened his eyes.
He looked up at Ben. His forehead crinkled. Toshi then smiled.
Ben laughed softly.
"Hey, Toshi." Ben cooed. "I'm your uncle." Ben said softly.
He looked out of place holding a baby.
Toshi seemed to like him though.

After a minute, Toshi started fussing.
Lilli took him back. He stopped.
Ben laughed.
"Well I can see he liked me better." He said, sarcastically.

"Hey, Lilli," Klaash said, getting up. "I'm just gunna go tell Melanni everything's okay, then, I'll come back, don't worry." He waved a bit and with a hastened walk left her room and entered his own. Melanni was there, in their room, writing something in a black book he had seen her with a few times. Must be a diary or something... He assumed. She looked up at him at the sound of their door closing. "I'm a dad!" He exclaimed rather proudly, hugging her back. With Klaash still latched onto her, she stood up and smiled. "Oh, really? That's relief." She smiled, and he let her turn around so they could face each other. "There were no other complications?" She asked. Klaash shook his head. "Toshi's a healthy little boy, Melanni!" He held her again, he was just to excited. Klaash grasped Melanni's hand, "Here, come see for yourself." He smiled, bringing her back to Lilli's room. As they entered, Melanni bowed her head. "I hope I'm not intruding."

Lilli sighed.
"Yeah. Being a paren't will take alot of commitment. I guess I just didn't think of that. But it's too late to take it back now." Lilli said.
She felt stupid.
Here she was afraid of marital commitment. But not of Parental?
Being a parent would be SO much harder than just being married.
"Thanks Klaash. I tried to the best I could." Lilli said.
I will take some getting used to raising a child. It'll take some getting used to of not being with Klaash. Lilli thought.

Kyoiya came back into the room.
He walked up behind Bou.
"Hey." He whispered in her ear.
"I'm not sure.. but was I forgiven? Or are you still mad at me?" Kyoiya asked.
He kissed her neck a few times.
He then pulled away, unsure of his stand point; Whether he was forgiven or not.

Melanni looked up, and saw the small infant in Lilli's arms. Her look softened. "It's a beautiful baby, Lilli." She smiled with her honest remark. I wonder how long it'll be before I'm in that kind of position...Holding Klaash's child. She tried to shake the thought out of her mind. She was envious of Lilli, but she wasn't angry at her.

Klaash had told Lilli he was going to go tell Melanni how everything was.
Lilli didn't mind.

"Oh it's fine Melanni, you're not intruding. And thanks. I know, isn't he?" Lilli asked.
Lilli examined Melanni's face. She wondered how she felt.

Ben noticed how Melanni felt envious of the baby.
Well of course it was her husband's baby... but from another woman.
Ben hadn't really liked what had gone down with the whole arranged marriage. It wasn't fair for anyone other than Melanni. She was probably the only one who benefitted from the whole mess.
Ben decided he'd treat her kindly, just the same.
Even though she stood in the way of Lilli's happiness Melanni should be treated like any other person.

Melanni smiled and nodded. They say nothing...But I know I am....

Lilli sighed. She felt exhausted.
Why wouldn't she? She had just been in labor. Lilli should be asleep if anything.
Toshinori had fallen asleep. Lilli looked to Melanni.
She had such a pained expression on her face that she wore almost all the time. Lilli could understand how hard her life must have been.
Melanni had grow up with people forcing her into choices.
Where Lilli had grown up alone, unsure of what to do with her life.
"Would you like to hold him?" Lilli asked, smiling.

Melanni nodded rather eagerly and smiled, carefully taking the baby from Lilli, "Thank you!" She sat down in another availible chair and looked at the calm Toshi, asleep calmly and peacefully. Thank you Lilli... Melanni knew within herself that Lilli was hurting probably more than she was. Melanni knew that because she existed, her older brother and sister-in-law married her off to connect bloodlines and sever the relationship Lilli and Klaash had. She knew she could change nothing, and she knew it would be hard for both of them to live happily. She bit her lower lip, trying to think of postive thoughts and not ones to dampen her happiness.

It made Lilli happy to have Melanni and herself getting along. She knew it would make Klaash happy.
Melanni took Toshi carefully from Lilli and sat in an empty chair.
Lilli thought Melanni would have said no, but it wasn't unexpected that she had said yes.
Lilli could see the joy in Melanni as she cradled baby Toshi.
It nearly brought tears to her eyes. Lilli quickly wiped them away.

[YUS! Please... AND THEN THE BABY SHALL.. *cough* SECRETS. biggrin ]

[[TIME SKIP OF SEVERAL HOURS. ]]

[So technically it's the next day. razz ]

Lilli sat in her room, alone with Toshi. He was still sleeping peacefully in her arms.
Lilli felt like she would fall asleep herself.
But Toshi needed someone to hold him, and everyone else had left her room to let her rest. Which was ironic because she hadn't fallen asleep.

Lilli watched his tiny chest fall and rise time after time as he breathed.
She wondered what he was thinking. Or what he was dreaming.
Lilli lifted his tiny head to her lips, and kissed his forehead softly.
[Time lapse of like.. 5 minutes.]

Toshi's chest stopped moving. It immeadiately caught Lilli's attention.
"What?" She panicked. He cried for a minute, still asleep, then stopped, silent.
Lilli waited a moment, he didn't breathe, or move.
Lilli realized Toshinori, her baby, was dead.
"No..." Lilli said, tears coming to her eyes.
"Please, no.." She whispered, her tears spilling over.
"Toshi.. please, no..." Lilli said.
Her tears fell, hitting his tiny motionless body.
"NO!!!" Lilli screamed, sobbing.
No... he's gone.. gone forever... dead.. Lilli thought, her mind racing.
"KLAASH!" Lilli screamed, sobbing.
"No. No. No. No. My little boy, my baby, my son.. he's dead." Lilli sobbed.

Yeah.. Sad Day I know... crying ]

Klaash ran to Lilli at the sound of his name. "Lilli! What is it?" He asked her, after he had stormed into her room. At the sound of her shreiking voice, he was paniced, his eyes wide with unknowing.
