jumping slightly as Len licked him, Leonard had been so distracted he forgot about her temporarily, though eh was still aware of her then.

Len licked his nose when he looked at her.

putting a hand on Len's head, Leonard smiled at her, and closed his eyes calmly.

Len rubbed her face against his affectionately, purring.

Leonard would never admit it, but the encounter with Lunair and Pre had for the first time made him concerned for his life. He had len now, and didnt want to mess that up, but knew Lunair could kill him now. he didnt know how, but Lunair had been on a task that would have let nothing stop him. Leonard shrugged it off, however, as Lunair had left. eyes closed, Leonard's hand slowly stopped petting Len, and slowly, Leonard dozed off, a little tired from the encounter.

Len curled up into a ball on his chest, ready to take any bad dreams he has.

Bad as ever, Leonard was exectably tormented, but this time it was by Lunair, Leonard duking it out with the seraph, and losing, in horrible, horrible ways. (boredom fight between Dream Lunair and Leonard!) ... Diving aside, Leonard narrowly dodged Lunair's shadow spikes, the spears arcing around, and hitting Leonards carefully positioned panels, Leonard's energy quickly dispersing Lunair's shadows, but Lunair followed up with more shadows, spearing throuhg the gaps in the panels and hitting Leonard's barrier as a result. bringing his claw up, Leonard had charged his energy in retaliation, beam punching through his own barrier and hitting Lunair's shadow wall, but Lunair's shadow wall held strong, Tendrils arcing out, and around, spearing Leonard through the sides of his neck and heads, through the chest, legs, arms, and then, spreading in every direction, Leonard was ripped apart, alive, able to feel it, even in his dreams... then it started again, Leonard narrowly dodging Lunair's shadow spikes, but after a few cycles, it ceased to be Lunair doing the attacks, but Leonard himself.

Mist came off of Len's cat form as she was trying to eat all his bad dreams again.

a non stop cycle, Leonard was plauged by the bad dreams more and more, and slowly, it started to have an effect on the real world. swirling around him, the shadows began to rise from the floor, forming a familiar, shape, Leonard's own form preparing to run him through after a moment.

Len woke up and moved to protect Leonard's sleeping form.

Thrusting the sword, Leonard had been awoken when Len moved, sleeping lightly as ever. bringing his claw up, Leonard caught the shadow blade, energy arcing over it, but the shadow form stepped back, away from the true article. seeing himself standing before him, Leonard almost belived himself to be dreaming still, but knew better. unknown to Leonard, his subconcious had combined Lunair's powers, and the power to summon things that Leonard had once copied long ago, and brought to life Leonard's worst nightmare... himself. The biggest difference between himself and the creation before them, however, was that as his worst nightmare, Leonard's copy had absolutely no regrets about killing people, but could use Leonard's powers, all of them, except more powerfully than Leonard himself, a foe that Leonard could not defeat. unaware of the creatures origin, however, Leonard dove in ready to fight himself, thinking it a pale immitation of his true self. sliding Len across the tile, as could be done with most clawed animals, such as cats, Leonard formed a barrier on that end of the hall from her, so she wouldnt get hurt, but resultingly, couldnt get through.

Sword in hand, Leonard spun, only to be locked by his doppleganger, who simply grabbed the blade in his clawed hand, and without time to move, Leonard was kicked, back, into the wall. exhaling mist, Leonard quickly turned the room into an inferno, but his mimic countered this attack with his barrier abilities, charging energy into his claw and firing it at the true Leonard, who barely rolled aside in time, the wall exploding as the fight continued. forming shadow chains, Leonard began to lash out with them, trying to constrict the fake, but the fake teleported, appearing behind Leonard, and gripping him in his claw, throwing him into the barrier, breathing flame onto the real Leonard, the flames hotter than Leonard could make them, raging brilliant blue and white, but when the flames cleared, Leonard was standing up slowly, charred, but alive. manilpulating the chains with another copied ability, Leonard tried to tangle the fake's feet, shadow tendrils arcing around the fake from every corner, but the fake spun, his panels, acting like a blender's blades, cutting through each tendril, as the real Leonard formed a barrier in the palm of his claw, collapsing a pocket reality in the sphere, and charging it with his energy, the corrupting energy that had been left usused for a long time making a reappearance, launched at the fake, who smiled, sidestepping, and cutting a slight gouge into his arm, the blood crystalizing into a series of small spears, which the fake launched at Leonard with some wind magic, the shards liquifying when Leonard dodged, coming back as razor sharp disks, which began to cut into Leonard like a hot knife through butter. firing his own brand of corrupting energy at the real Leonard while he was hurt, the fake launched the ball of energy and it slammed into real Leonard's chest, black energy spreading across the real one's skin, causing him to scream in pain. walking over to real Leonard with a sick grin on his face, the fake brought his claw down slowly, placing it against the real one's head, and preparing to charge Leonard's head with energy,a nd blwo it to smithereens, when a thought occured. if the fake had been created by Leonard's mind, if the fake scattered it across the room in an enjoyable blast, then would the fake continue to exist? taking this thought to mind, the fake frowned, wanting to kill its inferior, and simply teleported, gone from the academy with little warning.

Len howled within the barrier she was put in and swiped at it madly.

Leonard, collapsing to his knees, looked blankly straight forward, before simply falling on his face, his barrier disappearing abruptly. he didnt move at all, just laying with his face on the floor...

Len's claws scratched the floor as she skittered across the room and out into the hallway. She then ran towards a window and jumped out, planning on finding Leonard's copy and defeating him.

Leonard watched Len run off down the hall, wondering vaugly in his clouded mind where she was going. the thought was overclouded by the thought that he had been hurt somehow, but he couldnt make himself think of how. he knew he would live, somehow, but he wasnt sure of anything really.

Despite Len's efforts to go after Leonard's copy, they would be vein, as the copy had teleported, rather than flown off. she could end up searching for five minutes, or for a lifetime, and there was no guarantee of success at finding him, unless she stayed somewhere that the fake would end up terrorizing.
