((I love science fiction… The Hunger Games Trilogy is my favorite. That, and Animorphs, a childhood favorite. That series is over 50 books long… I still haven’t finished it. -_- Man that book was graphic for something meant for 6th graders… its probably part of the reason my own writing can get so gory.))

Aleta observed Zethriel opening the gates, unleashing a small army that mainly consisted of Dark Elves, Humans, and Orcs. Orcs lived in the caves of Gaia, so it was expected. Aleta had seen orcs before on the edge of Duram at night, so had Rafeal. They recognized them as strong, but not very smart or fast. They would be easy to take down, and humans were somewhat weak, most of them anyway. The Drow were their equals.

“We’re not screwed Duri.” A smile parted her lips, it was a savage look, determined. “If I ever hear you say that again, I’ll hit you so hard you’ll forget your name!” Aleta ran into the mass of soldiers, seemingly without fear. She slashed, stabbed, dismembered and beheaded anyone nearby, often killing them. She slashed a large orc‘s torso, spilling its putrid guts. He howled, Aleta finished him off with a stab to the back of its neck. The young Drow maiden slaughtered anyone she met on the battlefield, the warrior showed her true potential here. The soldiers ended up giving her a wide berth as they observed that few were a match for her. A demon crossed her path, and of course, she gathered every photon of light, and blasted it, burning it, and she finished it off with her dagger.

Rafeal had ran up into the stands, and began to shoot into the crowd, sniper-style. He watched Aleta’s back for her, killing anyone who would catch her off guard. His arrows and bullets always met their mark.

Duriono held off his enemies as well as he could, his healling was slowwed due to his condition, if he wasn't being so active at the moment, and not recieving weak slashes every now and then he'd be back upto top performance.

Duri growlled, spinning around to face the girl. He had moved from his previous position to attract attention away from her.
"Just go, we'll play later!"

((My internet is being wierd... I'll be on an off, likely... and playing GH5 if I feel like it.))

A big orc reached for Aleta's throat, clutching it. It lifted her toard the night sky, she kicked and swore at it, punching its arms. It looked like a big ugly man, but more animal-like, like it was part pig or something. She had dropped her blade.

An arrow came whisltleing by, it hit the orc right in the temple. It looked surprised for a minute, then its eyes went blank, and the hand released Aleta. She fell to the ground with a thud, a Drow was coming at her. As he leaped toard her with a sword in hand, she tumbled out of the way, picking up her blade. When the other drow landed, she impaled him on the end of it, and went on her way. She waved to Rafeal up in the stands, and yelled, "Thany you!" He responded with a thumbs-up. "No problem!"

He heard a voice behind him, one he dreaded. "Hello brother."

Aleta noticed a random motercycle rider, it distracted both her, and her opponents. She heard someone shout "BLEEP!" and immediately knew who it was. Someone came up behind her, she extended her blade so it hit the man without even looking. She returned to kicking a**.

Rafeal had other problems. He shot an approaching orc as Aleta struck another soldier. "Yeah... what do you want Zethriel." He fired another round, takeing out at least 5 other guys.

"Nothing, I just wanted to see how my little brother is doing." He teased him. The shadows continued to writhe around him as if they were alive.

June huffed before running into the crowd of soldiers
"okay!"
Quickly running out during Lucifer's attacking, she tackled Duri
"scary!"

Zethriel turned to see the shadows envelop the stadium, Aleta stood aghast and confused, she shouted a curse at Zethriel, she did not know it was an ally who was doing this. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" She yelled.

Rafeal knew better, Zethriel was surprised, "Damn it!" Shadows crawled away from him, being gathered in this storm-like... thing. He hissed and sputtered, swearing. he made some kind of gutteral noise, like growling. "Never mind." He slunk away like a beaten animal. Before he did so, he threw a dagger at Rafeal, it nicked him in the shoulder. "Just to let you know, you're dead to me brother! You hear me, I'll kill you the next time I see you!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, and faded away into the shadows of the stadium.

Rafeal staggered down the steppes toward Aleta. When the shadow-storm receded, Aleta pumped her bloody fist to the sky, "Aw hell yeah! We won! Run, run you pansy cowards, this is our victory!" She smiled viciously, it had been a while since she felt the rush of a full-scale battle, her system was flooded with adreneline, and she was high on the ecstacy of victory.

She turned to greet Rafeal, who stumbled toward her clumsily. Her smile fell. "Are you okay?" He ended up collapseing into her arms. "Eh, its just a scratch, weak poison. I'll be okay." He stood up agian, his head swimming. Every muscle in his body screamed in pain from exhaustion. The day had taken its toll on the young drow. He swayed slightly. "I'll be okay...." He said, woozily.

"Just sit down, sweetheart." She kissed him on the cheek, and held his hand, they sat amidst the bodies on the field, not careing where they were, just happy to be alive and victorious.
