EDIT: For the record, the tab in the bottom left only makes it go away for the current page so NYEH. ಠ_ಠ

I used to dislike footers, but after getting sucked into facebook I really don't care.
You'll either love gaia's toolbar, or forget it's there. Either way it's just another gimmick from gaia to pull focus away from the fact that their site needs actual improvement.
