I like reptiles but I wouldn't want to own one as a pet. If I want something with a basic brain structure I would get a beetle. Those things are awesome.

I like Rhinoceros Beetles. Maybe an Augosoma centaurus, Dynastes neptunus, or Dynastes hercules (my favorite.)

digi734 I don't think I would have a bug or reptile as a pet. It just doesn't seem like my style. But beetles are like gentle giants. Harmless to people but so strong. @ED maybe if I get an apartment or something where I can't get a cat. I prefer mammals because they are more responsive, even though they aren't as cool. EDIT: I mean look at mars. This is an awesome species. They have really long legs.
