I agree with the "not liking pokemon anymore" thing, but it's nostalgic and fun at times.
Using random normal distribution for character creation? Odd, but it may work.

It's a fair system. It also teaches you something about life. You dont always get to be what you want.

The point of RPing is to be what you want to be, though. That's primarily what separates roleplaying from the real world. I'm just warning you that many may be disgruntled at being stuck with a character type they're not good at using.
