Owwin Not only is August 28th Satoshi's birthday, it is also a Friday, the whole weekend would follow. College generally starts late in August for me. I can't guarantee anything until I can put together my schedule for that semester, but classes might cause a conflict during at least part of the day.

I can't guarantee anything until I can put together my schedule for that semester, but classes might cause a conflict during at least part of the day. *Shakes head* I'd shoot for earlier than that, probably mid to late July. It's right before everyone begins trying to get in one last vacation for the summer.

Spent $10 to download Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic from Steam.
I was hoping, "Hey, I'll FINALLY be able to play it again it all it's glory." Started it up. Graphics for the main screen and character models all look teriffic. Yay. But then....the game started playing and I noticed it...all the textures...warped and distorted....look kinda staticy too. WTF, Steam? WTF Vista?? WTF God??? I can't play the game like this....I just wasted ten...count them...ten ******** dollars for a jacked up game. I was so excited to play this game again, then it went kaput.
This whole s**t started when my stupid ******** mother upgraded (or rather downgraded) my PC from Windows XP......to ******** Vista. She was trying to get wireless internet into my room and while I am thankful, I would've rather have my computer be able to play awesome games than be able to connect to something. So I couldn't play any ******** game on it if it wasn't made before the year 1999. No matter how hard I tried, NONE of my favorite games would work. Not Doom 3. Not Quake 4. Not GTA III. Not Star Wars: KotOR. AND NOT EVEN STAR WARS KNIGHT OF THE OLD ******** REPUBLIC...TWO!!! They were all working fine went it was XP, but once Vista came in, they were all like "Nope, I ain't playin' no mo'."
EVERY time I would start up KotOR, it would say "lulz yer video drivers R out of date, ROFL!!!!!!!111" They say it requires Detonator 45.23 drivers or higher to run them properly. Well, I getz better video card driverz and....still no KotOR.
So I getz a laptop that's supposed to be a hot-s**t gaming lappy. It's got anVidia 9600M GT graphics card, TWO Intel Core2 Duo Processors T600 @ 2 GHz, 4 GB RAM....I try running said games on it....still kaput. It'll run old-school games like Quake 2 and the Fallout 1 and 2 games just fine...but NO NEWER GAYMES!!!
So here I am, excited that KotOR is finally available on Steam. After all, if The DIG and Star Wars: Dark Forces ran smoothly on it, why shouldn't KotOR. But no, what happened has already been explained up above. Distorted s**t, bland textures to the point that you can't even tell what the hell something is! I wasted $10 on this download. THAT is why I started the "Will the Sims 3 work on my Laptop?" topic. If it turns out that it won't run on my lappy, HEADS WILL ******** ROLL!
Now I know what you guys are thinking, right? Hey, why not get the Xbox version of KotOR and play it on your 360? The presentation on the console....sucks. Glitched out gameplay, missing music, and it locks up occasionally...then one day it just wouldn't let me get out of it no matter how much I restart the console.
Goddamn, it's like some ******** divine force just doesn't want me to play Knights of the Old Republic. One of my favorite RPG's of ALL TIME....and I've been unable to play it for YEARS, NO. MATTER. HOW. HARD. I .TRY!!! ******** you, fate!!!! YOU. SUCK! scream scream scream scream scream scream scream scream scream
