Back on topic. Whatever your operational definition of love is. The guys at LoA's college are just looking for fast sex and not a life mate, and they put that drive for sex above friendship. Which I believe is disgusting to everyone here. Agreed?

Meta_Fish Nomega Meta_Fish Nomega Meta_Fish If you weren't told that s**t was disgusting, maybe you'd play with it. Does that make it any less true? Truth is subjective? The existence of love and the disgusting-ness of s**t are two different kinds of true. That opinion is subjective. razz Well, dammit. xd

Which I believe is disgusting to everyone here. Agreed? Well, I'm not exactly an expert on sex, but I'd say you're an idiot if you think that sex is overall more satisfying than friendship.

Good, then lets find a way to make LoA less anti society. I believe that is a solution anybody could love.

Not agreed.
We only have LoA's view of the story. Not everyone else involved. And as we know, everyone is bias.

The existence of love and the disgusting-ness of s**t are two different kinds of true. That opinion is subjective. razz Well, dammit. xd If you really want to debate it, then who is to say? The people that socialize you? If you were born and left to fend for yourself, considering you survived, would you think that s**t was disgusting? Maybe it has some use to people. Granted, we don't know that it does (well I don't) but if it did, we could all be oblivious to it because we think it's disgusting. So do the people and the world/society that you live under as you grow up make you think one way or another? Yes. That is called "socialization." It is completely inescapable in modern times unless your parents leave you in a forest and somehow you survive. My point is, if you weren't told what love was, would you believe in it? Edit: Sean, he just wanted to vent.

But seriously, I agree with you to an extent, I'm just saying that even if love doesn't exist, but you believe it does, and feel it does, than doesn't it exist for you? What's the difference? It's complicated, and like someone said before, I don't think there is really a definitive answer.

It could exist for you, but then I could look up some insane people and what they thought they were experiencing and how they got locked up and blah blah blah. I dunno. If it "exists" for you, then great. Enjoy it.
