The fake rocks are an integral part of any laser tag arena. What good are all the blacklights if there’s not fluorescent spray paint everywhere? They seem to be made out of spray foam- nobody ever said that laser tag courses were the type of establishment to spare no expense. It’s not too terribly hard to see that among the neon colors, a few spots of pastel stick out. Easter eggs! There’s a bit of a scramble, but you do manage to grab one.

The plywood wall is slightly tacky and rough to the touch; still, it provides good cover for the laser battle. There’s not a lot of places to hide an egg along it, though- but the second and third people to look here do find eggs tucked into the inky black corners where the wall meets the supports that keep it standing.

The low boxes are made of thin plywood; while they aren’t particularly heavy, they serve their purpose as obstacles. They are stacked haphazardly and painted black, and these boxes don’t open- they’re really just kind of a barricade to make it more difficult to get to your team’s base. They’re just there to give you something to rest behind as you occasionally peek out with your weapon, nervously looking for other, better laser warriors. You know, something to monologue against once you’ve been hit, giving your last words to your teammates. Something on which to make a dramatic last stand. Whatever they are, they aren’t hiding any eggs.

The allure of the rope lights hooks you and pulls you in. Little dots of LED illumination chase each other around and around the central column. It’s mesmerizing, the way all the little bits of light play with each other. Speakers are mounted around the column; this is where the music is coming from. It’s loud and bright here, and if you wanted to dance, this would be the place to do it. However, the shaking and thumping from the bass doesn’t shake any eggs loose. Still pretty cool to look at, though!

You look under an archway for the eggs. It’s a very cool archway; there’s blacklights that make things glow! White shirts, white fur, teeth, socks- all kinds of things are lit up by the blacklights. If you rolled an odd number, one of the things the blacklights light up is an egg! But if you roll an even number, you are having too much fun seeing what does and doesn’t react with the light to actually find an egg.

You search the bright barrels for eggs. They’re filled with a strange, glowing goo. It’s sticky and almost translucent, and you can see some shadowy shapes in the bottom. What is this even supposed to represent? Nuclear waste? Alien nutrient gel? The theming of this laser tag arena is a bit off in places- but then, what laser tag arena anywhere has truly consistent theming? You fish around. The gel sticks to you, but it’s not really that unpleasant; if you’ve ever experienced Gak, it puts you much in mind of that. You make contact with an object and fish it out of the goo. If you rolled an even number in your first post, it’s an egg! If you rolled an odd number, it’s… a gachapon capsule! There’s a tiny plastic rabbit inside. Kind of weird, not an egg, but also pretty cute.
