When you do MS Paint work Maul, don't save it as a jpeg.

Image formats.
There are a couple major ones.

.bmp (bitmap) files are perfect quality, but they are massive, so no use for the internet.

.png (portable network graphics) files are much smaller, but still have excellent quality. They aren't always compatible with everyone's computer, though.

.gif files are the only common image format that support animation and transparency. File quality is good if you have mainly solid colours, but usually it limits your total pallet to 256 colours, so if you have gradients, they tend to break up into solid "chunks" of colour.

.jpeg or .jpg files are the smallest type, and can save at various qualities. Paint's .jpg compressor sucks, so you get a lot of jpeg artifacts hanging around, especially if you use a lot of solid colours.
