It's basically just a passive, yes? o wo That increases your defense by 25%.

Which isn't a whole lot for the series, actually, since the normal "Kaja" buffs tend to be about 40%.

We never really worked out Auto skills, but I sorta figure that they're permanent (unless indicated otherwise, such as one-use things).
They would stack with a normal buff, though, yes.
