Okay i have been trying to solve this problem for 2 weeks O_O
Cos this problem came up in my Maths Challenge, and it got me really confused @_@
After that test i kept thinking about how to solve it during RE, making me loose concentration on my RE work sweatdrop

So heres the problem:

Someone was travelling from Edinburgh to London, the person saw a sign saying London 150 miles, after 7 miles the person saw a sign saying Edinburgh 250 miles. So how far is from Edinburgh to London?

Hmm, I would think that if the person travelled 7 miles from a sign that said London 150 miles, he would be 143 miles from London when he sees the Edninburgh sign. Therefore, he would be 143 miles from London and 250 miles from Edingburgh, which would make the total distance between the two cities 393 miles.

If this solution is wrong or you've done this method already then I'm afraid I'm no help to you. whee
