Looking at other people's art makes me feel like I've chose the wrong major, because my work always sucks next to theirs. ><

I feel really stupid, but...
I definitely don't think I understood that.
Or rather, it's not on my wavelength.
It probably makes perfect sense, but not to me.

You're here to appreciate art! D: To be the person to admire the art and be the reason us(them) artists continue to grow in our work and get better. I dunno. If art isn't your strong point, but you still like it, that's probably what you're drawn to it for. To appreciate it. neutral ... =D ...that shouldn't sound as degrading as it does .__.;;

You're here to appreciate art! D: To be the person to admire the art and be the reason us(them) artists continue to grow in our work and get better. I dunno. If art isn't your strong point, but you still like it, that's probably what you're drawn to it for. To appreciate it. neutral ... =D ...that shouldn't sound as degrading as it does .__.;;
I'm actually fairly artistically gifted, my art teacher gave me one of the two "Artists of the Year" awards at senior showcase this past year (I swear I'm not bragging, just referencing. D; ), but it's just that everything I do tends to be... vastly different from other art.
I kind of tend to do a lot of... conglomeration. It's odd. And I'm terrible at translating my thoughts into understandable explanations. ><
And I try to compare myself to others to get better, but...
It doesn't really work out in the end.
And I tend to be much too critical of myself... >>;
And I can be a really harsh critic of others, too...
But it's not often that I com across as harsh.
I don't TRY to be harsh to others, I just wanna give some constructive remarks. D;

you're CREATIVE D: that's all. Maybe your thoughts are just much too complex to be written/drawn down on paper :3 Constructive criticism...I like to get it a lot >>; I'll be totally smashed to bits by it, but I'll listen to it, because I like my art to be perfect B| PERFECT... well...perfect in a 'Acey's uniqueness is so INTERESTING' way.
