.Crow My school blocks the sites I regularly visit (Gaia, YouTube, etc) by the second. And well now, they block basically ANY site that isn't school related. And then, we now aren't able to go through the "System Preferences" and change anything to override the blocked-ness. Yeah.. it sucks. >__<;

Poor people with restricted internet... I have a full 5mb cable connection now but I seriously miss my (partially-policed) resnet gigabit connection when I was at school.
Those were the days... 8mb/sec was just the tip of the iceburg. cool

The school computers never lets me go on any site that i like gonk all the sites that i usually go on are blocked crying
and gaia is one of em....
And are teachers allowed to swear in school? Cos we were reading a book called The Kingdom By The Sea today, and it had the s**t word in it o.O My english teacher was reading it outloud too, so everybody heard it....
And i didnt know that bloody and bugger were actually swear words eek and i've been using the word bloody a few times gonk no wonder my brother keeps saying i swear when i dont even kno it stressed Bloody and bugger are sort of swear words-well they're more like curse words. If you are shocked at your teachers swearing in class you'll be stunned if you went to any of the lectures at my university. All the uni lecturers and tutors swear all the time; one lecturer once swore f@*k more than 30 times in one hour. xd Haha, in South Park, they swore 162 times in 30 minutes, they even had a swear metre. rofl i think i saw that episode before, and despite the number of swear words in it, i still love it heart
I even got 2 episodes in cantonese, even though i dunno what cantonese words were suppose to be swear words....

It's shared in a LAN network of 3 computers. The best thing is, the university's cable connection is completely unrestricted. They don't block any of the sites, especially Gaia and all that. I don't think they block porn sites either, although it is easy for them to catch you as soon as you enter one. xd Sapphire: of course they do, and so do us students. 3nodding Everyone at uni's an adult, sometimes the tutors are students themselves. So basically everyone swears a lot. Even if we don't like to swear, some of the texts my group has to read are full of swear words.

We had a "gigabit" connection or 1024mb/sec. But I often got download rates of 8Mb/sec through that connection. Sorry for not making that more clear earlier.

I'm not sure exactly how fast my cable modem connection is since the actual speed of the connection is shared in a home LAN system of three computers. So I would expect the speed of the connection to be cut by a third.
