Then they got snippy with me because I wasn't in the mood for talking about job stuff. "You always get mad at us when we talk to you about it." Well, maybe it's your approach on the subject? You always bring up the subject randomly and out of the blue. No Segway into it. And instead of listening to what I'm trying to say and understand where my interests are, you always put them down and basically insult me for what I've done.

My Dad even said something about me having to "rely on them". Rely on them for what? I've basically been taking care of most of my stuff now. Maybe having a house over my head and food to have? Well, it's not like I'm freeloading off of them anymore. I've been paying a rent now for the past year.

I think the reason why I always hate talking with them about anything job search related is because I always come away feeling bad about myself. They always make me feel like I've done something wrong. That I've gone down the wrong path with my choices or interests.

My Dad also keeps sending me jobs for other facilities that are similar to the one I'm working now, like senior living or assistance with disabilities. I know he means well but he doesn't realize that if I started off with keeping my job here at Evergreen, I wouldn't be able to have a job at another facility like this. They don't really look fondly upon such thing. Basically siding with the competition.

Not to mention, I'm not ready to leave Evergreen yet. I like the people here.

Where as with Regal, I no longer have any connections with the folks there. So, I have no problem leaving them, if the opportunity presents itself.

On a sidenote, I'm also hesitate to send in my application right now to any of the places because it is winter time and I don't know what the weather will be like when they want to start doing the interview and hiring process. I would hate to get all excited about a position but them not being flexible of seeing me at a later date because snow prevents me from making it down to an interview... or whatever.

Oh, and there's also the annoying factor of some places not even mentioning what company the position is for (especially those on Craigslist). It's all fine and dandy knowing what is expected for the position... but how am I to know whether the particular company it's with is a place I want to work for? Hard to familiarize yourself on what the work environment will be like when you don't know where it's at.
