To me, it just seems that Canada is accepting socialism more openly. Socialism, in its most raw form is good. However, due to the imperfection of human beings, it can easily become corrput (any form of government can result in corruption, just some lean more toward it). I feel that the US, at its conception was one of the most sound political systems around. Nowadays, it has degarded into a unitary constitutional democracy (much different from the federal republic it used to be).
I never said I like the US's president, and I have quite a disdain for his reign. Besides, he can't even pronounce words correctly.

The elections were during a hard time for the US though... they were still all pumped up and into the 'war'... Bush probably seemed like the most obvious choice at that time, being a psycho maniac. >_>

That was fast. I usually reread any roleplay post before submission (revising as needed).
I'm loving this roleplay so far. The last time I played a futuristic war general was in Kyou's last RP, based around the Gundam universe. I basically reintroduced the same character conept from that one into this one.
I hoestly don't know why he was re-elected. I guess 2004 was a "lesser of two evils" situation.
I would think a black man. I don't mean to be a sexist, but many regard the position of president as a position not to be influenced by "monthly visitors." It is an understandable mindset for these people to have, though it is is still biased and chauvanistic in some regards.

Americans are ready for a woman president, I think. Just not Hilary Clinton.
Edit: While I could already be working on a reply, I'd like the others to get a chance to act as well. Otherwise, I'd be more than ready to do this all night. After-all, Sui's first post was today!
