Ember reached her dorm and went inside. After unpacking her stuff she left to explore a bit. After a while of taking random turn here and there, she found a hallway that was completely deserted. "Hm, this is nice." she said, and sat down on the floor, leaning against a wall. Ember reached into her bag, pulled out a book, and began to read.

Lance looked up at the girl flying over head,"so many new people today..."he said to himself.

Ember continued to read her book in the silent hallway, the only noise being the crumpling sound of paper as she flipped the pages.

Lance glanced at all the new kids,the girl reading then back to the girl flying over head.He leaned against the wall.

At the sound of footsteps, Ember looked up from her book to see a boy leaning against the wall opposite her. She gave a faint smile, and said "Hey."

"Oh hello.."Lance said turning to face the girl reading.  

[Ember of Jade]

"I didn't think anybody knew about this corridor. It's so quiet." Ember said, thinking aloud. Then she looked back at the book and continued reading. After a moment, she said, still reading, "Seems like a decent place, the school I mean."

Lance looked at her."This corridor is mostly used as a detour to some class's."He told her"and this is a nice place once you get to know it..."He looked at her "my name is Lance."

Looking up from her book, she said "Esmeralda, everyone calls me Ember though."

"Nice to meet you."Lance said to her.

Ember smiled faintly again, and said "Pleasure." She then marked her place in her book and shut it.

"So need any help around school?"he asked scratching the back of his head.

Ember thought for a moment, then said "Well, I am new, so yea, I could use a bit of, assistance."

"Ok,what do you need to know?"he asked her.
