[OLD RP SYSTEM] Year 2

[Dugra]

"All right then. We have a plan," John said, looking at Nizo, and sighing.

"Nizo, do you have to wear the chalice as a hat," John asked exasperatedly.

"It works, right, kupo," came the reply as a question.

"Okay, I'm ready," said John enthusiasticaly, jumping up, "Let's go!"  

[lakita_phoenix]

"Right! It's this way!" Luara jumped up and faced to go back in the direction she came.

"Chalice kupo! right behind you kupo!" Yero said grabbing the chalice.

"Try to keep up, the longer it takes the more powerful it'll probably get."

"That's dangerous, kupo."  

[Dugra]

"Alright then," John said as he began to run with Nizo.

*about 15 minutes later*

running around the next bend Luara felt the ground tremble. A large mangy woolly beast on four legs blocks their path. "Oh no! It's bigger now! And this time I don't have any magics I can use to help me; just a cure and thunder ring."

"It's weak against fire remember kupo?"

"It works a lot better if I had that element"

The beast slams down a paw, only just missing Luara.

"Eep!"

 

[Dugra]

John grunted, making a quick plan about what he was about to do.

"Nizo, I need the chalice," John whispered to Nizo.

"I don't know what you're doing, but okay, kupo," said Nizo as he tossed the chalice to John.

John, attempting to run around the beast, yelled, "You said something about the chalices? I'll get the job done!"  

[lakita_phoenix]

"Right! Yero keep the chalice so that it centers better with John's chalice!"

"You have a plan Kupo?"

"I'm going to use my butterfly head to fight it!"

"Double bullet kupo? It takes time Kupo!"

"But it's powerful, and it's all I got!"

 

[Dugra]

A giant paw slammed down in front of John.

"Whoaa!"

John sliced at the monster's wrist, and jumped over the paw.

"It'll take more than that to stop me," John yelled as he set the chalice down behind the beast.  

[lakita_phoenix]

"Just a little more!" Luara said strained as she built up her power.

"No Time Kuop! It sees you kupo!"

"Not yet...not yet!"

 

[Dugra]

John growled. "There's no way I'm gonna let that thing get you!" He jumped onto the beast's back. "At least I'll distract him long enough for you to do whatever you're doing," John said as he started slicing at it.

"What if he gets you though," Nizo asked, yelling over the sound of the battle.

"Don't you worry about me," John yelled back as he brought his sword down.  

[lakita_phoenix]

"Now! Double bullet!" Two shots came from her butterfly head weapon. "Yes! Looked like it did a good bit of damage. I think it's starting to weaken from all John's hacking at it." She began to go over to pound on the monster when Yero shouted.

"Don't judge it so lightly! And look out! It looks like it's charging up thunder, Kupo!"

Luara stopped and gritted her teeth. "But John is still on him!" she thought quickly how to help. "The cure ring; maybe that'll help." she started charging up her cure magic and aimed for her comrade, timing it for the release of the monster's thunder.  

[Dugra]

((What happened to everybody else? confused ))

"Look out! It's charging up a thunder attack, kupo!" Nizo yelled at John.

"It is?" John asked as he prepared to jump off.

"Hold on, it looks like Luara's planning on healing you when it discharges, kupo!"

"I hope you're right!" John yelled as he continued to slice at the monster.

The beast discharged, and as it did Luara Released the magic. "Booya! Canceled out!" She ran up to John's side. "Okay, It's weakening! All we have to do is hack at it a bit more!" She looked back from John to see the beast's paw fly at her, "Oof!" she was thrown off to the side and into a treeside.

"Luara, Kupo!" Yero rushed himself over. "Luara, get up! Get up Kupo! What about the monster? The chalice?" It was hopeless, she was out cold from the impact.

 

[Dugra]

"No!" John gasped and was torn between helping Luara and finishing the job.

"You take the monster, kupo!"

John grunted, hacking at the monster while Nizo ran over to Luara and began to drag her to safety.

"Boy, Luara's heavy, kupo!"  

[lakita_phoenix]

"Help, Kupo! I'll help. Over here kupo!"

Luara groaned weakly. "But we're...so close...his arms...close..." Her mumbled words meant nothing to Yero. But she was right, before being knocked down, the beast was growing weaker with John's power.

"Can he handle it, kupo?"

 

[Dugra]

Nizo set Luara down. "I'm pretty sure he can. He's been out adventuring with me for quite a while, kupo."

John jumped off the monster with a final slash at the head. "That thing had better stay down," he mumbled as he walked over to Luara, glancing back at the monster as he did so.

"I'm not sure how long she'll be able to last, kupo," Nizo said to John as he walked up.

"Yero, she had a cure ring, correct?" John asked. "If so, do you think I could use it to help Luara?"
