He grinned slightly at her first comments, "Well, You do have one point there. But we didn't escape excatly unscathed last time..." He grinned goofy and pointed at the sky, "Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll be abducted!" He chuckled a bit before brushing her hand away, "I know you know I know you know!"

Ray nodded, "I can't heal death M'Dear." He shrugged at her last question then turned to her, "And if you don't go to bed MY pointy eared girl, You shall be tickled till you beg for mercy!" He raised his hands threatening, holding back laughter.

He laughed and sat by he, watching her slowly fall asleep. He began to watch the forest around them, still a bit worried. Ray turned, gently brushing a piece of hair out of her face. "Good Night Sam... Sweet Dreams." As usual though, he stayed up watching. Nothing happened, but he did anyway.

Ray's forehead creases deepened as he frowned even more. He played with her hair before sighing. Cupping her chin he watched her sleeping face, "Peace little one... No more nightmares..."

Ray's face automatically went bright red. He squeezed her small hand then wound his fingers out of hers. He stood quietly and literally tiptoed out of their makeshift camp. He looked back once more to make sure Sam was ok, then he began searching through the woods. Very soon, he came across a small rabbit warren. Bending down he whispered into the hole, "Solo mi tusch tono?" A well known Elven phrase meaning 'May I take a life to sustain my own?' A rather old rabbit crawled out and knelt in Ray's hands. "Thankyou friend." He quickly twisted the rabbits neck and watched as life fled its eyes painlessly. "Sam should enjoy something substantial to eat... I hope. Or she'd get angry with me for killing one of her precious bunnies." He chuckled and stood, walking silently back.

Ray entered the camp quietly, and sat down beside the fire, across from Sam. He took out a tiny mythril knife and began skinning the animal, whispering a thanks at each cut. He looked over at Sam and while watching her, cut his hand. "%&*%!" He quickly covered his mouth. Oops... His face spelled 'Uh oh'.

Ray grimaced... He couldn't believe she had caught him. "I'm NOT clumsy... I'm just not ambidextrous." He yanked his hand away, embarrassed. "You don't have to do that..." He finished the bandaging himself the grabbed his knife and the rabbit. "Go back to sleep....."

Ray sighed, he hadn't meant to make her mad.. although he was still embarrassed. He smiled abit when she flicked his nose. She wasn't that mad... He was glad to be able to be there for her as she was for him. He finished skinning the animal a put its bloody body on a spit. At least Sam would have fresh food when she awoke. It had been so long since they'd had meat. He sniffed the air, what a great smell. Looking around he hoped there was nothing in the shadows that surrounded them. He didn't hear, see nor smell anything out of the ordinary. Her picked up the rabbit's skin and cleaned it. He stuck up two sticks and stretched out the skin between them. It was near the fire and hopefully it would be dry by morning. If not he'd always use air... He watched her fall back into a fitful sleep. He debated on whether or not he should wake her for the food. It would be morning in a few hours... He decided against it. It would stay warm through the night. He hoped the smell wouldn't attract animal but he doubted it. He scooted over beside Sam and lay down next the her. Naturally so she was closer to the fire. "Little One.. What are we going to do about these nightmares..."
