I generally buy cheap wigs as well. XD;; That is a lot of money when you're a poor student, yup. I don't really care if my chest is flat or not. People can tell I'm a girl either way, and there's a lot of other differences between my body and whoever I'm cosplaying, so it doesn't seem like a big deal for me to have one other thing.

People can tell I'm a girl either way, and there's a lot of other differences between my body and whoever I'm cosplaying, so it doesn't seem like a big deal for me to have one other thing. Ehh!? But half the fun is trying to pass as thoroughly as possible! (T-though admittedly, I've got so little that the compression shirt doesn't change things too much for photos... My first Yaoicon I didn't bother binding at all for my Duo cosplay, and some girl was convinced I was a boy. ;;;; All subsequent cons after that, though, I've compressed 'em down to be thorough. They do make it easier to pose with people you don't know, though, because there's less "omg I'm so sorry I didn't mean to touch your boob!" if they're flattened down. XD) The one totally unnecessary thing I used to wear for cosplay was a packie--gave up after my ex's exploded in her pants at after con (the hair gel-related lulz were amazing~)--but that actually did show up in a few photos. I was really embarrassed wearing something there though. xD;

@Yuu Chan: Ah, you're lucky. XD I hate having to deal with teh boobz, not just for cosplay, but for everyday life. But you seriously used to wear a packie? XD Wow, that really is authentic...

XD; I can't believe you did that, hun... D8;;;; Very brave. >>; I'm too into comfort for that.
But, K-chan, it doesn't hurt, does it? I dunno... :/ You dun have to be so negative.... x___x; It just makes me insecure not flattening my chest... so I'm sure when I do it, I'll feel better at cons and wutnot. *shrug* I think it's a worthwhile investment.

Ehh, why is it so surprising? >///<; I mean, I guess living with someone who was transgendered for so long changed what I'd think was 'normal' for cosplay-accuracy, haha. XD; Surprisingly enough, it wasn't too horribly uncomfortable--actually at AX07 it was kind of nice, because it was so ungodly hot there, and we'd been keeping the packie in a cooler. So it was kind of a relief. /tmi
K-chan, have you seen the amazing Larry and Damon Gant cosplayer on Devart? Bawsly does an amazing job binding--I thought she was actually a guy when I saw her Larry cosplay the first time in person! >w< I'm not sure what method she uses, but it's really, really good.

Binding doesn't hurt if you do it right, but it's still a pain to bother with. Either way, I have a really girly figure and face, even without teh boobz... ^^;; Hardly makes a difference with or without them. Ah, that's great. XD That the packie was nice and cool. That's definitely a positive way to look at it.

Yeah, but they look like pretty girls with guy figures. XD Er... very petite guy figures, but still guy figures nonetheless. Bleh. At the rate college is going, I don't know if I'll ever be able to cosplay again. X_x No... money...

D: Your lack of Namu makes me sadface, Pirate. (And it WAS nice and cool! I was wearing all black! @_@;; That's why on the last day of con I veto'd cosplay and wore belly dancing stuff, it wasn't as ridiculously warm...)
@K-chan- Aww. D: When money fails, do cheap cosplay! *brick'd!* Hobo Phoenix! I try not to spend too much on most of mine... The only one I've done completely from scratch is my Katara, and that was kind of expensive, but thrift stores are marvelous for getting things to throw together. I think my Duelist Kingdom Ryou was like $30, not counting the Ring and the wig. xD Or the compression shirt, but I use that for all my cosplays... (Course, the shoes/pants get recycled for other cosplays too. Yay for versatile outfits! XD)

On the last day of Yaoi Jam my friend DR and I forced everyone not to cosplay because we had dressed up in Phoenix Wright business suits two days in a row (me as Edgeworth with his vest and cravat and all...) and it was in Arizona in the middle of the summer so... even though it was pretty cool inside the convention itself, just driving there and walking from the car to the hotel was torture, plus it was still somewhat warm in there. X_x So I wore shorts and a shirt I had bought the previous day that said "Uke: Root for the underdog!" It reminded me of Jounouchi. XD Heehee, I can't sew at all, so I always put my cosplays together mostly through thrift stores. XD Once in a while I can get my mom or a friend to sew a bit of stuff for me (like the skirt for Sailor Jupiter, the tunic for Great Saiyaman, and the cravat for Edgeworth) but most of the other stuff is bought at thrift stores. XD But even that can get expensive. For my Edgeworth cosplay I think I spent $15 on the suit (when it was half price day at Good Will) and $30 on the wig. X_x I usually try to get a nice wig at least, even if everything else was from a thrift store. I only managed to pull off Halloween this year by being a funky anthropomorphic fox archer thing... XD;; My friend was having a 'mythical forest' themed party, so I threw the archer clothes together from stuff I already had, already had a bow and arrows, plus a fox tail, so I just had to buy ears (I bought tiger ears, but they looked more like fox ears because they were pointed instead of rounded) and then I also got one of those funky round hats that point at the top, and are used to keep the sun out of your eyes when farming, so I had something to attach the ears to. $8 all together, but even that was pushing it. sweatdrop I wanna see your Hobo Phoenix cosplay. =D

Alas my NaruHobo isn't done yet. XD I actually have all the pieces for it, but in the wrong colors, and no means of making decent-looking stubble appear on my face. I'm hoping that this winter will be fruitful in the thrift stores, though. heart I could probably throw it all on and be 80s LSD NaruHobo though. If I can find the patch.
Dude. What. Sailor Jupiter. I want photos of that~ I definitely did ghetto!Princess Jupiter like four years ago. Unfortunately my lack of bangs and 5'2" self didn't much look like her. XD; (Except for the hair color. >-> And I think I had rose earrings. But I don't have photos, woe. crying ; I wonder how much of that costume I have left...)
Damn, I wish Basler Arts was selling at Anime Expo next year~ We do ears and tails that are unspeakably badass and last for ages. Not to mention they're super sturdy and whatnot. /shameless plugging. Wtf why am I even doing that, I don't work for them anymore.
Curiosity bites--did you do a legitimate tie-on cravat, or did you do the lazy/easy/less hazardous fake-but-looks-mostly-right kind? XD I never figured out how to tie one, or I'd have gotten off my butt to do my Pegasus cosplay years ago...
I really shouldn't post when I'm half awake, I'm sorry I'm braindead. XD;; Ughh why Japanese class, why steamroll my brain and make me dead?

It makes me sad that I have no idea what either of you are talking about. But that's okay. Cause I love you both and now I can just glitter at you two and smile and nod and s**t. 8D!!!!!!!!!
@Kchan: I want fox ears! *whine* Even if yours were tiger ears... D8 ;; And I had no idea you did those cosplays. sad ;;;
@Yuuchan: D8 I was Namu for you the other night! Isn't that good enough? I tried so very hard too, and it's not like you even bought it... D< *huff*

@Yuu Chan: Ah, well I wish you the best of luck in finishing your costume. XD You must send pictures when it's done. Heheh, NaruHobo, that's cute. XD By the way, do you know why everyone refers to him as a hobo during Gyakuten Saiban 4? He still lived at his old office with his 'daughter...' and he had a job, albeit a crappy one. I believe that does not make him a hobo. o.o XD But I still like to call him as such. Haha, I'd love to show you photos of the Jupiter cosplay, but I did it in like... third grade. XD Yup, it was my first actual cosplay. The only picture I have of it is me standing next to my best friend at the time, dressed up as Cinderella. We were an awkward pair that Halloween. But I'm a little kid and all retarded looking back then, so no picture for you. XP And I was definitely shorter than 5'2" at the time, so I was not accurate either. What's Basler Arts? Sounds interesting. =D Nope, I looked all over the net how to tie a cravat, and I couldn't figure out how to make one based on those tutorials. XD;; So it was pinned. But it was more legitimate than most of the cosplay cravats out there, in that my friend stitched it so it had the flowy ruffle look instead of just flat cloth. Think this VS this. (neither of those people are me; the only pictures I have of my cosplay it's difficult to see the cravat in XD;; ) And Pegasus doesn't have a cravat. o.o Just a frilly shirt and a ribbon. I should know; I cosplayed him in junior high. XD;; @Akila: You should join the geekdom and get into Phoenix Wright. =D It's amazing and super special awesome. Lawlz, they were crap cosplays anyway. XD

~_~ I can't afford more geekdoms. Plus I can't find my gameboy. It poofed three days ago and I'm freaking out... T______T

I don't even have them scanned or in an area where I could easily find them. o.o Their buried away with the millions of other pictures my mom takes. Besides, I don't enjoy looking at embarrassing pictures of people, so it wouldn't be a fair trade. XD Phoenix Wright is for DS anyway... D:
