Alright, Obama is not going to be the next Castro. The problem is that he's a liberal and a globalist that has just been thrust into power by ignorant people and blacks who are just seeking to thrust a black man into power for the first time in history.

I think you're right, at least I'm hoping that you're right. I don't know how far the American people, or the rest of the world, will allow the communists in our government go. They might let them go as far as socialism, but I don't think they'll allow the USA become another Cuba or Russia. And really... the more I see Obama, the less of a threat I see him, I think he's going to be a rather weak president who won't know what to do. Joe Biden's ... ugh... right when he said the world is going to test Obama with a crisis, and I don't think he's going to succeed. Obama won't be able to keep all his promises and he's going to upset a lot of people- and they won't be able to pin it on Bush.
Comic strip in my paper, it would seem that when everything goes for the worse, the Democrates won't have anyone to blame but themselves.

They'll continue to push the blame off on the Republicans. But, you're right. No president, Republican or Democrat, could fufill all of the promises Obama has made the American people.

i think the only thing that truly irks me most are the large amounts of "young liberal retarded no-nothings barely out of middle school" (sorry, but really guys...) who talk as thought communism is a fine thing! blah... seems like every one i meet has the same "government sheep" outlook.. maybe its just me but this seems like the early signs of communist dictatorship... (course that was after i watched a 1980' chinese documentary of the elementary schools there and how they got children to conform to the communist party as well as how to be proper soldiers and what not...) because its all starts when you warp the developing minds of the young, and oh how easy it is... its whitewash i tell you!

needless to say, a democratic congress makes me a tad paranoid...

(if the government ever tries to take over, ill be the crazy hillbilly b***h that locks herself in the cellar with guns, ammo and beef jerky... so yeah...)

p.s. i obviously don't conform to proper grammar and punctuation...

yeah...im a rebel...

and considering how all these little retards are going to someday inherite the nation, its no wonder one would think that! ive thought of things like that as well, like "oh, wouldnt it be nice to have your own island or maybe a yacht so that you could just travel from one country to the other via the vast ocean when you got fed up with its government policies?"

but lately with the increase of pirates (seriously... pirates) that would be more trouble than its worth i believe. but then i think the best thing one can do is to stay here and try to improve our own prospects or at least "try" and postpone our own political downfall...

running away from our problems really dosnt fix anything is what im trying to say... but its annoying none the less. and considering how many of our men and women died fighting communism, its sickening really...

i would like to see PROPER education in schools, TEACH THEM HISTORY DAMN IT ALL!!!

and australia has a ban on guns... so no talk2hand

yeah, i find it interesting considering Australia started out as a penal colony... rofl

heres a few interesting facts...

One year after gun-owners were forced to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, including semi-automatic .22 rifles and shotguns, a program costing the government over 500 million dollars, the results are in...

A dramatic increase in criminal activity has been experienced. Gun control advocates respond "Just wait... we'll be safer... you'll see...".

OBSERVABLE FACT, AFTER 12 MONTHS OF DATA:

* Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2%

* Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6%

* Australia-wide, armed-robberies are up 44% (yes, FORTY-FOUR PERCENT)

* In the state of Victoria, homicides-with-firearms are up 300%

* Figures over the previous 25 years show a steady decrease in homicides-with-firearms (changed dramatically in the past 12 months)

* Figures over the previous 25 years show a steady decrease in armed-robbery-with-firearms (changed dramatically in the past 12 months)

* There has been a dramatic increase in breakins-and-assaults-of- the-elderly

* At the time of the ban, the Prime Minister said "self-defense is not a reason for owning a firearm"

* From 1910 to present, homicides in Australia had averaged about 1.8-per-100,000 or lower, a safe society by any standard.

* The ban has destroyed Australia's standings in some international sport shooting competitions

* The membership of the Australian Sports Shooting Association has risen to 112,000, a 200% increase, in response to the ban and as an attempt to organize against further controls, which are expected.

* Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no improvement in "safety" has been observed after such monumental effort and expense was successfully expended in "ridding society of guns". Their response has been to "wait longer".

p.s., im drifting away from the main topic, so ill shut up now xp

You're getting paranoid when you're saying there's going to be a Communist dictatorship. The liberals too strongly beleive in democracy.

yeah, i was living with my, "anti-government, pro-gun, desert storm veteran, very loud, uncle" over the summer... i think he scarred me or something...

but nothing bad ever came from being overly observant...

lol What are they going to do? Hurl politically correct insults and our foreign aid checks back at us?

And really... the more I see Obama, the less of a threat I see him, I think he's going to be a rather weak president who won't know what to do.

He's going to piss alot of people off. There's no way he'll be able to do all he's promised.

If there's anything you can rest assured of it's this: the Democrats are less a party than a conglomoration of disparate left of center interests who, after any given election, get back to the business of self-immolation. Obama was only in the Senate for four years, and he's already getting challenged at every turn by hardcore careerists. Diane Fienstein can't stop undermining the policy objectives he's outlined and cabinet appointments he's making. John Conyers is only all too eager to jump on board. This, of course, is only symptomatic of the incredibly weak Democratic congressional leadership that took the helm after 2006. Reid and Pelosi have been abject failures. Reid's impotence as a Senate Majority Leader has only been highlighted with the Roland Burris seating fiasco in which he just tucked tail and retreated in the face of an impeached governor and a congressional caucus from the opposite chamber. So, if anything, Obama will be facing down unbridled opportunists with few effective party leaders as allies and will be almost wholly dependant on bi-partisan support to get anything done. In other words, don't worry about Obama doing anything drastic.

Well like I said, there's no way he'll be able to do what he promised, and he promised very drastic change.

Then of course there's his F.O.C.A. he wants to pass, I'd die if that passed. No child should be able to get an abortion without parental consent... or some guardian consent. Plus, abortion is bad to begin with...

To be quite frank, I am liberal, I have nothing against Fox News, and to be honest, conservatives would love to get rid of liberal media just as badly.

What are they gonna do, throw politically correct insults at us

I'm anything but politically correct... and I know more than enough liberals that are not. And, the liberals say the same thing about Conservatives, only they replace 'politically correct' with 'christian'...

we don't want to get rid of liberal media, we just want them admit their bias.

what I find amusing about that is there are a lot of conservative republicans who aren't christians, some don't even have a particular belief.

Really, while I'll admit to being a bit bitter towards nut-job liberals, I also understand that most liberal and conservatives all want the samething. We all want peace, freedom, a healthy environment and security- where we differ is method.
And its sad that both sides are constantly blaming and fighting each other. Liberals do have some good ideas and conservatives also have some good ideas. I think we ought to look at liberal ideas and use conservative means to impliment them.
Also, I will also admit to being bitter at conservative nut-jobs, or one way to put it, groups that pull the conservatives down- groups like the KKK and that gay-hating church (I forgot their name).
