My thoughts? New Kirby.
Sakurai was all "b***h plz, mah Kirby!"
And Nintendo was all "but... but we luvs teh kirby!!!"
So Sakurai made them give him his own company, and money. In exchange, he let's Nintendo think that he still works for them.
