	Can't find my copy of the Two Towers I recall it saying that the Elessar was eagle shaped... But I could be wrong.

	It's not in The Two Towers anyways. It's it Fellowship. Quote: "Then she lifted from her lap a great stone of a clear green, set in a silver brooch that was wrought in the likeness of an eagle with outspread wings..."
