I would have to say sasuke ar cloud because sasuke's pretty cool from the sharingan and chidori,but cloud is epic with darkness inside a huge sword and awesome back up moves! ninja

No one has anything on Sesshomaru, he is the coolest by far. He don't take crap from anyone no mayyer who it is.

Favorite male character: Tsuchimi Rin from Shuffle! I like the aloof characters, and he does care about people but seems thoughtless because he cares about too many and it paralyzes him with inner conflict.
Favorite female character: Fuka Ayase from Yotsuba&. She puts up with alot of crap, but keeps her family together.
There are others I like as, "Best ___" or "Most ___" but on a balanced scale those are the two that rose to the top of my addled thought process to win the day.

You know who was a cool character? Light Yagami, his intelligence was awesome, not to mention he really made me fall in love with him as a villain. I mean the craftyness of that guy was awesome, not to mention he was a real ladies man, and did a lot to stop organized crime around the globe ^_^

I rewatched 3X3 eyes with a friend because he wanted to see an older anime and I thought it would be a good one to show him as the series can easily be watched in one sitting. I think I would pick Yakumo from that show as coolest. He gets turned into a Wu (immortal) and his destiny becomes bound to the main character, Pai. They depict immortality as a curse...sort of a last resort that was done to save him...but that takes him away from the life he one knew. Being an immortal makes him a target for those that want to use his gifts, or take them as their own.He has to quest to become mortal again in order to be able to once again live amongst humans without incident. I really like his determination, he isn't the strongest...he's just unable to die. And yet, he never gives up and continues to fight against fate to find his own place in the world.

Batou, Kakashi , Black howling, Vegeta, , Kyo to name a few cool male characters
for females, it would be Major Kusnagi, Ella ragu, Duenen newt, Ryoko, Priss Asagiri, Urd, sister kate, also anyone who commands a huge warship shaped like a holy cross and called the iron maiden deserves respect plus loads more its hard to single one out to be the coolest cause it just doesnt happen

To each anime I have watched and each manga I have read has had one or more characters in which I thought was amazing. I could not name it all but I can name my profession it is called: RABBID FAN GIRL!!!! XD

I am particularly fond of Tama from Bamboo Blade. There's a lot of character growth, not to meantion she's tiny and yet so badass. She's also really cute, and loves play/being a hero. ^_^

The absolutely adorable moe type, though I think I'm only partial to that type because I have a friend who is absolutely adorable!! 4laugh of course I also love the badasses that tend to be jerks because I generally love the scenes they get. They can be so funny or even down right twisted! twisted
