I would definitely have to say that I like Baroque. I love the light and bouncy feel to it! I do like almost all classical music anyways, though... But whatever razz

It's funny how every single person so far has referenced baroque, although I'm not surprised since it is the very foundation of all [western] music. (Thank you, Bach).
My favorite type of music to listen to though is gypsy and carnatic. There is a haunting beauty in it that Western European music seldom touches upon.

I would have to say Baroque, Classical, and Romantic. I could probably strech it to post-romantic.

Bassoonist I like all kinds (although some of that "newer" stuff is harder to get into. lol) but Baroque is probably my favorite of them all. The sound of the basso continuo is awesome, plus I just love how Minor Baroque pieces sound. So awesome! Over the last year I have changed my opinion a bit - now I'd say that Impressionism is my favorite. It's just so beautiful, and I'd say the only way I can describe it is that it is almost otherworldly. At least IMO.

Romantic, of course! Baroque is a bit boring for me, and Classical is too easy...I don't really understand Modern and Impressionist (although Debussy is pretty good). I'm goin with Tchaikovsky! biggrin

I prefer soft, majestic styles. Thus Baroque.

I love the passion and energy in romantic pieces. If I had to listen to one period of music for the rest of my life, it'd be romantic. But classical is good if I feel like relaxing, or maybe something a bit more catchy. And modern pieces are rather intriguing, even if there are a fair few that I can't stand.
