We played Lux Aurumque in Symphonic Band this last year, and as a lead flutist, I figured I would take flute 1 (cause there's like 4 parts to that song...) Anywho, we were getting to the beautiful, organ-esque part and as the flutes hit the high F, I squeaked and hit a high B-flat. My band director put me on flute 2 crying

Some of these other moments are pretty embarassing, wow...
I have one too. My school band was performing at the Merchison concert hall. I'm first horn, and during the Kallinikov Symphony, I have a lot of small solos. One of them is a single note that I play with second horn while all the rest of the band is quiet. I had NEVER messed it up before, but when I played it, for some reason it came out HORRIBLY, and it was a couple of terrible-sounding notes all jumbled together. gonk Everyone else was looking at me after I played it, and I was shaking. xD
And after that we reviewed the tape and I had to listen to it again. But at our Meyerson performance and everytime after that, it was fine.
Just that one time, grr...
@Viktor von Grim: Oh, we played Lux Arumque too! smile Such a gorgeous piece...

it was a band concert in 6th grade i believe...i was sitting in front of a terribly cute violinist and because (or not) of being flustered, i knocked the stand right on top of him. He set it back up without making a scene, I turned around to say thanks after the piece was over, but my long hair knocked it back onto him. He just glared at me, but his friends beside him found it absolutely hilarious. As you can imagine with imature young boys, i was dubbed "Stand Girl" for the rest of the day and month. =.=

Well Cherry, at least your nickname only stuck with you for a month. Mine stuck with me for the whole year. My nickname was Freshman, I mean come on do they have a creative bone in their body.
