We don't have wasted food because I don't make things that will be wasted.
      ...That's what I already said.
"I'd much rather not have something than to waste it."

My husband wont eat leftovers, I don't know why.
      He just wont.
And....I don't eat much anyway so...if we did have them then yes they'd go to waste.

      @Purple: Yeah, but that also requires me to buy the stuff to make the cookies, which would in turn sit in the cabinet forever untouched after I made the tiny batch of cookies. So, it's a waste of money. >_<;;;;

Eat what you take/make.. make/take what you eat. Best policy, imo biggrin

Your husband cooks?! Woah. He's awesome!!

Wait...
Your husband won't eat ANY leftovers?
That sounds really weird.
There must be ALOT of stuff you're missing out on.

What I don't get, is how you can buy anything at the store at all.
I mean, you can NEVER use all of something the very first time.

ALSO, if you really want something, like I said, just stick extras in the fridge until you can eat it. Leftovers have stayed in our fridge for up to a month.
And they're still edible. Even if you don't eat alot (and if he doesn't eat it at all) then you could still wait till you feel like it again.

Heat it and use it whenever you wannt eat t xd Simple enough, right? I mean.. one can't cook just the right amount all the time. Having leftovers is very common. You could either add some more ingridients to it and make it yummer and it'd be as good as new biggrin

Out of curiosity, how do we do things here?
And what things do we do?

And for that matter, how do we do them?

      What I mean is.....
Everything I said, about the leftovers and buying food...etc...
That's how we do things here, at my house....in my family.

How do you make EXACTLY what you need everytime, without accidentally making extra. And what if you still feel after you eat.

And what about spices.
You can't use all of it at once.
If you don't buy ANYTHING you can't use all at once.
You guy must eat the most tastless meals on the planet.

Okay, I have to admit I'm a bit curious too on how your cooking works in your house too Rini. However, it seems you've found away to be happy with how things are and give up what you enjoy.

Dude: My GUESS is that she's not talking about spices since she can use that again later and they keep well for long periods of time. However, for example like the cookies some of those ingredients unless you're making more of those cookies or making other items that require those specific ingredients she wouldn't use them again so there for a waist of her money.

Last week I kind of had to do that because of what's going on here I've had to cook meals on the fly which required me to go to the store and buy the specific items I needed that day, cook it, then eat it.

However, like you we have left-overs of many things and found most of it reheats well though not all.

I tend to keep stuff around too long cuz I'm the only one who eats them. sweatdrop But I usually end up eating it all anyway. Those expiration dates are never accurate. whee

I guess so.
Especially for someone that doesn't like to eat the same thing alot.
I guess I'm the odd one.
I can eat the same thing for weeks on end.
And still not get tired of it.
LIKE PIZZA!!! (yum)
