A soft sigh of frustration came from behind the crowd of people in the courtroom. Back there stood a young scholar leaning against the back of the courtroom. There was nothing he could do for this young woman because no-one believes him. He then bit the inside of his lip causing him-self to bleed. The young scholar turned on his heels, and busted through the doors leaving in frustration. Something crossed his mind. Some-thing that could very well get him thrown in jail for breaking the law. The young man left the court-house, and stood looking towards the Gallows. "Some-one needs to do something." Said the young man. This young scholar's name was Brim Ogre. The local librarian, and scholar. And Brim knew the truth yet there was not a single person who would believe him that he met so far. Brim kicked over a near-by barrel, and took a deep breath. Trying to make a decision. ~*~ Upon the roof-tops of the town stood a man dressed in white, and silver robes with an easy twenty or more aquamarine jewelry, and gems hanging from his robe, and staff. His staff was just about as tall as he was. It was made of pure silver. The head of the staff was attached by aquamarines, and it was a dragon wrapped around a large orb like aquamarine with more aquamarines as the dragon's eyes. This man. This figure could not go in public much. It was against his teachings to leave his jewels lying around when he was not home. If he went out into public surely he would be accused of being a witch, or if the people knew better. A wizard.

The cruching of gravel was the only sound the young man made as he carried himself towards the down. A royal blue cloak wrapped around his medium build, lithe frame and came over his head to block the sun from his eyes. People were jumpy and uncomfertable with strangers. He didn't blame them, those witch-hunters caused needless panic and these displays and murders were getting out of hand. yet the more that died, the more the plague seemed to grow and spread. It seemed to be an endless, pointless cycle. There had to be something more to this. But he had no proof, just a bit of a whisper in his dreams and odd readings from the stars. He was thankful that he was getting near a town and hoped that these villagers were a little less... hostle, than the last village. He was still trying to catch his breath because they thought his eyes could have been linked with the plague that was unleashed.
Needless to say, he made a hasty retreat before he was taking a cold water bath at the end of a wooden chair.
Now he was heading here. He hoped for a bath and a warm bed with something a little more solid that stewed rabbit. Ayatane raised his arm up and moved some sweat from his brow, pulling back his hood and revieling his cropped white hair. He looked up at the sun and a confident smile spread across his face. His bottom lip stained with a purple color. He had no idea what that discoloration was, but it was part of him and he really could do anything about it anyway. As he came into the enterence of the town he placed a hand on the hilt of one of his twin katanas and looked around at the barren town. Hmm... maybe it was a ghost town after all. as he traveled in he saw his first sign of life when he spoted a croned woman who sat at a wooden table mending britched. He approched the old woman with a relaxed posture and his usual smile. "I beg your pardon ma'am, but I was wondering if you could point me towards an inn of some sort? I've been traveling for a few days and would appreciate any help you can offer."

A young woman who looked as if she was of mixed race looked as she sat in the back of the courtroom. She had seen this one too many times. A young woman who was not a witch being convicted. She stayed silent, in her mind, she knew it was wrong, but in the corner of her mind, it was better her than she. She sighed silently as she knew it was the work of the convicted. Her long curly brown hair, glistened from the sun as she awaited the verdict, which from the looks of it, guilty. A young woman by the name of Tabitha St. Claire was looking in from the side. She was a nun of the church so it was her duty to search the women for 'marks' of the devil as she sighed. She had short white hair, and pale lips, though most of the time, she would wear black, her hands holding a bible as she looked at the trial. Her secret though, she was a witch as well.

Matheus looked over next to her, and with saddened eyes saw that a few more of the coven had come to witness this as well. Such as Chasity and Telaria. Not being too far from Telaria, Matheus shifted over a few seats to sit next to her friend and fellow Blessed witch. In a comforting manner, Matheus took on of Telaria's hands in her own. She didn't say anything, for there was nothing to say. She wished she could say things like it was going to be alright, but she couldn't, for she didn't know herself. Doom was hanging over this entire situation.
Unfortunatly though, the trial went as it always did. Judge Grey watched over the proceedings as the accusers contorted with supposed pain an agony when Alice was near enough to them. As the witch tests were performed, Alice failed them all. She had been asked to touch one of the accusers, and when she did their contortions stopped imidiatly. When she had been stripped, and publicly serched for markings, a birth mark that Alice clamed she had never seen before was found on her inner thigh, shaped like a black cat, a known familar of witches. It looked hopless, as it was. The trial had bearly lasted an hour before Levi struck his malet against the desk, declaring Alice as guilty of all charges of witchcraft.

Telaria felt Matheus' take her hand in her own. Even though she felt slightly comforted by her friend's nearness, she could not shake off the tension that was hanging in the air. She didn't realize it, but she was holding her breath hoping that Alice would be proven innocent. However upon watching the "Accusers" in their little act she knew that it was futile and any outbursts would put them all in danger. She knew Alice wouldn't want that. Her heart then tore at the sound of the mallet being struck against the desk charging Alice guilty. Her body tensed up as she swallowed back a lump in her throat pushing it down into her stomach to allow it to settle at the bottom like a stone. She would not allow the tears to fall. Eisti let out a cry from where she was sitting causing the elderly lady who was sitting across from her to look up at her with concern. She noticed that her granddaughter had tears glistening within her azure eyes. The elderly lady opened her mouth to say something when a young man approached her. She cast a look at her granddaughter who immediately wiped away her tears and turned the mirror over and walked towards the kitchen of the cottage to check on the large stew that was cooking. The elderly woman turned to the young man as soon as her granddaughter had left. "Good day, sir," she said in a very polite tone. Her voice was cracked with age, but her deep green eyes possessed warmth within them. "There is an inn about half a mile up the road. If you just continue straight you will find it." Her smile crinkled the corners of her eyes. She then turned to her granddaughter. "Eisti, dear...would you please get this young man some stew to take with him?" she asked. Eisti nodded and set herself to pouring some of the finished stew, which she had cooked herself into a bowl and brought it over to the young man. "Here you are, sir," she said looking away, her eyes were still glistening, but she had managed to keep her tears at bay.

Jean sighed as she heard the verdict. She shook her head as she exited the courtroom and sat by the court. "This is beginning to be a problem" she stated to herself. She looked into the sky and then back towards the forest. "If only people could behave like animals" she stated. "They're more civilized than the bafoons who run this town" she stated, slightly aggitated. Tabitha heard the verdict and sighed. She looked at the judge and nodded as she walked over to the young woman named Alice as she took the shackles and shackled her feet and her hands. It was her duty to escort her to the gallows, or the steak whichever way she was to be executed. She would see Alice again, she saw and conversed with a lot of people who were convicted of witchcraft.

Kelly Johnson left the courtroom, sad. Her mother told her not to go. But she went anyway, because she had to see it happen for herself. She headed home, dreading the day that her mother or her was accused.

Brim heard some-one come out of the court house, and heard them speaking. He had heard what this woman had said, and turned to her. "Humans are animals.. The most dangerous kind." Said the young scholar before walking away. It seemed the verdict had been passed. Meaning the court-house was about to be emptied by the sad, and the actors. Brim could see clearly that they were naught but lier's, and deceivers. ~*~ The young man dressed in white standing at the top of the buildings just shook his head. He'd have to meet with the other blessed.. See if they had any plans to stop this, or just let them kill one of their own. One of their sisters for their enjoyment. He would wait until they left, and meet them where they go. If it is private enough.

(ok sorry)
Kelly got home and found her mother sitting at the table. She could tell she didn't know the verdict, and she was the one who was going to have to tell her. "Hello, mother." she said coming in and sitting across from her.
" Hello, Kelly. How was your walk?" She asked. The look on her face told Kelly she knew she didn't go for a walk. It wasn't an angry look, just resigned.
"I went to the courthouse. They passed the verdict." She said and knew my mother was sad.
Mother sighed and closed her eyes. "I knew they were, but I was praying they wouldn't." she shook her head. Kelly sighed.

Jean saw the man who had walked past her and made his remark. Quite frankly, it made her kind of aggrivated. She respected nature and felt more comfortable like that. She sighed as she continued to walk near a tree as she rested against it. "Where are they?" she asked refferring to the rest of her coven. She was a nature witch, so that explained a lot about her. The tree she felt was giving her shade as well as elling her a story about itself.

A young woman stood at the back. She watched as this "trial" continued. Her eyes were eerily intense, more so than that of a normal person. The emotions that came so clearly through her eyes faded but to that of a normal person's. She did not doubt that there was something about Alice that made her shudder but it wasn't as bad as the girl Abagail. For some reason when she was around certain people she felt the need to attack. She shifted as the accused went forward. She gripped the wall behind her to keep from lashing out. Her blue silver hair shifted in front of her eyes blocking them from others. When the court said Alice was guilty she pushed off the wall and headed outside. She looked up at the sky. Her eyes were a lovely blue. THis was none other than Rapture Divine. "This can not go on" Rapture said. Her voice was musical even when she was not singing.

Mother stood up and started to bustle around, cleaning what was already clean. Kelly could tell she was upset.
Kelly stood up. "Mother, I'm going for a walk. For real this time. I'll be careful, promise." Kelly went to her mother and kissed her cheek.
Mother smiled. "I knew where you went the first time, child. Be safe." she went back to cleaning.
"Always, mother." Kelly left her home, and went walking, hoping to clear her mind, and thoughts. She was an Earth witch. The Earth sang to her, told her stories. And she loved it.

"Thank you very much, you are very kind." Ayatane replied with the gentle smile at the older woman. His smile faded ever so slighty at the younger woman that came out of the house, clearily distressed about something. He gently took the bowl of soup that was more or less thrust gently into his hands. "Thank you, Miss. It does smell delicious." Ayatane looked at the young woman again, his smile dropping another gentle run. "What's wrong, Miss. Someone as beautiful as you should smile, it looks better on you." Ayatane looked at his bowl, he dipped in and his mouth was immediatly greeted to a symphony of flavours that entered his mouth, it was a challange to him not to wolf it all down in one go. He would have eaten it on the way, but he kinda felt a little redundent if he had to come back half a mile just to return the bowl and spoon that was sent with him. He looked over at they older lady that still mended some britches. His smile brightened greatly. "My compliments to the cook, perhaps you should open your own cookery, you make mountains of gold."
