I don't know exactly why, but I have an irrational hatred for vampires. It didn't spawn from anything I can follow, but it's there. I think it might be because they are unbalancing to my hierarchy of targets, and my system doesn't take kindly to being meddled with.
However, wereanimals tend to be savagery incarnate, which would suit me well, but they tend to lose the intelligent aspect with the claws, and the fur, and the ability to leap in excess of normal animals with no negative drawbacks.
Thus, I would choose to remain human, mostly to strike the balance of a greater animalism, born from our roots, and our innate cruelty which is so fun to toy with, while maintain the ability to talk someone into a box if so inclined.

I would say wereanimal...but can't seem to choose what animal I would want my totem to be. I have narrowed it down to warm blooded tho. I think I would rather become a fox than a wolf...smaller body mass means easier to survive lean times, plus I would be cuter that way.

I recently read (Well listened to an audiobook of on a roadtrip, but I'm counting it for this) The 2nd Dresden Files book called "Fool Moon" and it gave an interesting view of various Were-animal mythos with some unique updates. I would recommend it as it was highly amusing and the characters are quite likable. #159
