Now this is interesting. I haven't heard much music from outside the US except for anime theme songs and songs from Orange Range. I don't think the English translation of 99 Red Balloons by Nena really counts, though I must say it sounds almost as good in English as it does in German.

Looks mostly Japanese... I like more from France and Korea. French music is easier to listen to 'cause I can actually understand most of the lyrics without struggling so much.
