But due to a defect in the vacuum (also made in China) it explodes, raining particles of fine lead over everone on Earth, poisoning an suffocating them.

Then the mess is cleaned up using hardware, also from japan.

So everyone is safe.

But a massive virus spreads via the spacesuits shutting down the breating aparatus and every one suffocates.

No one dies, because the planet is safe, so everyone takes off their spacesuits, and once the virus hits the fresh air, a strange element in it counteracts the virus and destroys it, thus making everyone immune to it.

But since virus's are always still swimming around in your bloodstream, the virus re-emerges as an extremely deadly flu that kills everyone.

And yes you nonbelievers, virus's can re-emerge. A common example is Chicken Pox re-emerging as shingles in old age.
