I like the ball of light.

It's so unnecessary, and makes the design look retarded.

It actually is necessary, so the PSeye can track the controller. It had to be something uncommon so that there would be something to track.

so if i get some sort of similar light ball, would it think it was a controller?

I doubt it.
There's also tracking s**t in the controller as well, so that prolly has to be identified as well. It tracks the controller as well as the ball, and works them together.

I felt like removing it too, but I heard the developers talking and I realized that I too did something similar with EyeToy games, using colored objects with a white wall behind me to play better.

This controller is still nothing but Eyetoy IN 3D!!!
