The sound of wings alerted the boy, he rolled out of his bedroll while unstringing his bow and notched an arrow once he got into his knee down stance he used for full accuracy. The fires embers cast a dim glow around the make shift camp. He heard the mans voice and thoughts rushed through his head That glint, swords! The voice! Cold, hard, emotionless, that of a killers. My options! Be escorted. Period. "Very well, allow me to gather my bed roll and restring my bow, please." The teen said rising from his stance and going about his business. Once done the boy approached the man "All set, I am ready for a bit more walking." He said with some bitterness. In all honesty, this was the longest "hike" he had ever been on, even the trip from his old demolished village to the city had been less, and his feet were killer. But he would uplhold, after all, it wasn't that big of a deal and he didn't want to sound whiney.

Naru nodded, trying not to roll his eyes. "Walk? It's 10 miles...I don't feel like walking. Hold still for a bit." He quickly dispelled his katanas, retuning them to the shadows. Then he studied the teens figure. "Hmm...this shouldn't be so hard. You may feel a bit awkward, but don't worry, the feeling will pass...maybe." With that, Naru once again summoned his wings, though this time he summoned a second pair, smiling as they slowly faded into existence, appearing from the boys own shadow. "Come on, we can fly there a lot faster than we can walk. The wings will act just as if you've always had them, you should be able to control them quite easily. Don't try anything funny though, because I can make them disappear quite easily, and that would not be a pretty mess. Sorry to do this, but well...Something about that little king says that he'd be a pain in the a** to deal with if I got on his bad side this early on. The name's Naru by the way..." With that, he jumped into the air, waiting for the teen to join him, not caring if he received a response. (by the way, my weapons are made from solid shadows, not metal, so there's no way you would see them in the darkness. I let it go though, because I figured your eyes would be able to make them out anyway, since I appeared by the fire.)

Naru nodded, his vampiric ears hearing every word. "Glad you could join me. Let's go." With that, Naru headed back to the castle, traveling slow enough for Xellane to keep up. As he approached the castle, he looked up to the windows, making sure the young king saw the both of them. "Hopefully he can see us..though, if not...this will let him know for sure..." Naru closed his eyes and concentrated a bit, searching for the kings shadow. He couldn't do much from this distance, but he didnt mean to do much. Inside the castle, the kings shadow twisted and changed, as bits and pieces of it changed and rearranged itself. Finally, Naru opened his eyes, satisfied that the king would understand. The kings shadow now formed a simple message on the floor behind him: "We're here."

((Rin, btw, you know that in the absence of light, pretty much everything turns into shadow, right? So like, darkness is solid shadow...so, going into a darker area just gives me more access...the only way to remove shadows is to light up the area...just letting ya know....)) Naru heard the noise and glanced up, seeing a window open. He gestured to Xellane, whom he decided to refer to as Xell, and flew up to the window, landing besides Decaf (as he decided to call the king) and once again dispelled his wings, before fixing the kings shadow. "So, you got my message~"

The teen followed Naru, dissapointed at the anticlimactic way he entered the castle. It does matter how I entered, it's how I leave he reminded himself. He wanted to leave alive, preferrably with another objective, this one maybe even with a reward. If the Rebele could offer great rewards, a king should be able to offer better ones. Better facilities for training, perhaps. Maybe even moving targets the teen thought with a grin. It would be very cool if a new bow could be offered, or new ideas for a bow, the hidden shrines at my old village could throw anything I want onto the bow of my choice. Well, as long as the correct sacrifice is in order, that is. Xellane was tired of flying and was ready to see how well he was at landing, unfortunately he didn't get a chance to find out. The wings were dispelled, and it was only by luck that the teen landed on his feet without so much as a stumble.

An upgrade to the bow, it's like he's reading my mind. At this point I simply wouldn't oust the possibility "That's it? You don't need to know my name or anything? Well, that's fine by me, my most esteemed and highly cherished king" The teen said, layering the back end of the sentence with sarcasm and a face to match which would be most comical for the children that were at the village, although he had better watch jut how 'comical' he was around Defaeco. "The name is Xellane, and the reason I came here in the first place was to give a name, a Rebele recruiter's name actually, although I am unsure whether or not you know this man or not anyway. I'll get right to Drasta though I suppose, now that you've mentioned a bow upgrade." He said, walking over to the mage and stood there awaiting Naru. This was the first mission he had ever been assigned since his test of manhood, he wasn't sure how he would do, but he felt better tagging along with Naru. He may not be the best of company, but he absolutely radiated power, this man was a better ally than enemy, that much is obvious. Don't forget Defaeco though he reminded himself He too is powerful. Combine him with that heirloom staff of his, and he is someone no sane man would trifle with.

[[well...since Xell never posted...]] After what felt like forever, Naru and Xell finally returned to thue castle, with the unconscious body still in tow. Fortunately, someone was expecting them. After confirming Naru's and Xell's identities, they were lead to the King's throne room. "Alright. We're back. Here's the guy you waned. Have fun with him, I'm off to do some hunting. If you need me, just tell my shadow. It will know how to find me." He turned to Xell, realizing he had never quite responded to what the boy had told him during their flight, and whispered in his ear, so that no one else could hear him. "If you want to find me, if you want to get stronger, and if you want to be able to fight by my side with my trust. then meet me in the Moonlit Ruins, back in the Main Lands as soon as your done here. I'm sure you'll be able to find the way." He firmly grasped Xell's hand, as a piece of his shadow traveled down his arm and onto Xell's skin, forming written instructions on how to find the place. With that, Naru separated a sliver of his shadow and left it in the room, a perfect circle of darkness embedded on the floor, and left the castle, determined to finally feed, his first real time since entering the realm.
