Yeah, I'm the medic type as well but I'd also go for recon.
I'd like staying hidden in the shadows, spying on the enemy's movements and position without them ever knowing I'm there and returning to report valuable info that can help the generals turn the tide of the battle.

A mage, or some other form of attacking spellcaster. I'm no good playing as physical classes, so a medic would be a good backup choice.
