I think a better question is why Christopher Hitchens is the horseman of equality. That guy's a douchebag who doesn't respect human rights.
I don't know anything about the guy, so I'm just curious; what do you base that opinion on?

He supported Guantanamo Bay and frequently makes litanies about how evil all Muslims are. He's one of those British atheists who are always complaining about how Muslims are taking over Europe and how they should be exterminated or some such nonsense.
