Come on more people voted than posted! You have to have some opinion on these great books! I mean which book do you like best, who is your favorite character and why just for starters!

I love Gimli! He's an awesome character and he gets passed the whole "hatred" for the Elf's because him and Legolas create a bond of friendship between them..
I've read LOTR twice maybe three times and I want to re-read them again... And of course they're doing the Hobbit in two parts since it'll be hard to fit it into one movie... But I enjoyed the book sad thing is I only read it once.. crying I need to re-read that too.
I read the Silmarillion.. I might have to read it again because it was so confusing and it even hurt my head to break it a part to understand it better.. >_> It is like reading the bible... Which I've tried to do that too... Didn't work out so well.. But anyways.
My said that in the 70's or 80's they made a cartoon of the Lord of the Rings and it was horrible.. So I consider the movies a great improvement.. Anyways back to my favourite character..
Gimli just rocks! He's willing to avenge his cousin Balin in Moria no matter the dangers.. I think he even went back there.. (not sure because I don't remember the ending) he was even willing to go back to Fanghorn forest with Legolas!! And his best line is. "An elf willing to go into the ground and a dwarve will not.. I'll never hear the end of it." Or it went something like that.. Again have to re-read the books..
I wasn't a fan of Ewoyen.. or however her name is spelled.. but she was kick-a** at the end when she kills Sauron.
I was mad at a few things in the movie.. But I never expect a movie to be as close to the books as possible because a book goes more into detail while a movie only gets so much air time.. Unless they expect to do what they did with the movie "The Truman Show"... Where it was just played all the time and everyone watched it.....

Eyowen kills the witch king Angmar leader of the nine ring wraiths. But, I agree she was far more kick a** in the book, like many other characters especially Faramir they made them all emo in the movies.

Yes they did... And they made Sam and Frodo much more.. Homosexual... Well Faramir they wanted to show everyone that he was the less likable son and that Bromimir(sp?) was more loved by their father the Steward... Eyowen.. She just ticked me off in the book and in the movie... I can complain a lot about movies.. which is why I try to keep most comments to myself because many people don't read the books and would rather see a movie then read pages of books... >_>

Yes he did.. Not saying he didn't.. Again like I said in my giant paragraph I need to reread the entire series.. I have all three books my problem with reading them is my Two Towers is a different copy then the other two which means... That it starts at a different point and I don't like re-reading the same pages twice.. so I have to wait till I get the Two Towers again...
Faramir and Broamir are two different people. I think they tried their best to show that in the movie but it's hard to copy books completely because there's just too much detail in books than there is in movies. Movies only have a certain amount of time while books can go on forever.

I am very curious about the movie though! I think it will turn out as as great as The Lord of the Rings filming was X3! I believe Peter Jackson is directing, right?
