The current shows on both adult swim and it's mainstream programing have to be the result of insane asylum inmates being given budgets for shows. It's the only way I can justify how the shows have gotten so bad so quickly. -_- #149

It's sad, but CN and AS haven't been decent for at least four years... x.x
I will give them credit for their few anime choices, though - GITS? Winner. Moribito? I was so proud that they showed the entire thing. ...and hey, they're going to be showing the new Fullmetal Alchemist series, which ain't too shabby...
So, yeah, they suuuuck, but at least they're throwing us a few bones... <<'

They used to do alot more for us, back when the gen pop was becoming aware of anime so it was somehow cool for a little while. Now it seems to have suffered some kind of backlash and it's harder to find any support for it on the cable or network stations. #156

Ah, good ol' Toonami. I used to come home from work and watch it every day. The afternoon block, the night block and the weekend block. It's where I first saw some of my favorite anime like Tenchi Muyo! and Rurouni Kenshin, and filled in the episodes I missed of other anime I used to watched when I was a kid, like Sailor Moon and Ronin Warriors. That was a decade ago. Now its they been replace by crap like, Adult Swim and some children's crap in the afternoon. That's one of the main reasons I stopped watching that show a few years ago. If the brought Toonami back in its full glory (afternoons, nights and weekends) with a mix of its original anime and some new ones, then they would have me back.

I think alot of people feel that way...everyone in my group of friends and even here on Gaia, I get the impression that it was not a decision made with any regard for it's viewers. The fact it's been of air so long and many, MANY people still talk about it shows that they didn't make a sound business decision. #158

For instance, family guy, robot chicken, moral oral, metalopolis, etc.., rather then anime.

I don't even mind Robot Chicken, since it's 15 min...but that kind of humor gets on my nerves if it's any longer than that. I watched Family Guy in the field when I did alot of shift work...it has it's time and place but a whole show with that kind of humor does wear on a person after abit. I miss subtle comedy -_- #163

They might, but it'll be the same as they do with current episodes...I only see Inuyasha when they need something on at 5am nowadays, and they only re-air Cowboy Bebop when people get fed up and they need a ratings boost. That should tell them something when an anime that old still does that much for the ratings, they don't need t just show anime...but quality shows get viewers. I'm not a tv exec and even I know that XD #184

That's true, but what do they play when they aren't showing them? Utter crap! They need to find new shows that don't make my eyes bleed upon viewing. #225

Also every now and then they show witch blade on there too but that's about it. (post#246: Larvitar)

But it's not that Funimation isn't getting new stuff...I just think CN passes on the stuff because it can't be watered down anymore. Funimation has standards now so they don't buy as much. #246

I mean they use a lot of them for everything (post#266: Silcoon)

Thats true, but better a limited cast than a crap one...remember that they used to just grab whoever to dub back in the day. "Hey Consuela, come dub this 18 yr old girl voice for us." Consuela: no, no... #296
